In the Civ4Col mod Religion and Revolution, water tiles have weather, which changes every turn. (not every water tile has weather, only a few in each area do) The three types of weather are 1. Favorable wind - movement takes only half a movement point 2. Unfavorable wind - movement takes two movement points 3. Storm - movement takes even more movement points, and 25% damage to your ship Why am I suggesting this? 1. Naval weather has significantly shaped history, and it would be nice to have it in the mod. 2. A bigger map means more large stretches of ocean, and this idea would make oceans more interesting and less predictable - this also adds to replayability 3. The graphics already exist, and look nice I also think importing Civ4Col's water graphics would be nice, but apparently that's impossible because they use different graphics engines.
