hubby plays civ4 but never posts. i think he'd really like Rhye's, particularly given his love of history and how he gets a kick out of seeing "what-if"s of alternative history. i've never tried it, can't pull away from normal BtS and history's not my thing, but i've read about it off and on and it sure seems interesting. so he's be brand new to it and i'd be no help at all.
any suggestions for what civ you think would be best to try out first, to get a feel for the how the whole thing works? i looked at the FAQ and the wiki last night but didn't see that specifically addressed. i did gather some stuff, like America is probably suboptimal since he'd miss seeing a ton of the game *giggle*.
i'm not asking which civ is the easiest to win with. what i want is to get a sense of how it's different from Civ4, see the fun (and frustration) of the events as they happen, etc. i hope that makes sense. and he may ignore all advice and just play somebody whose traits/UU he likes anyway
. thanks!
