Suggestions from CoMA

Looks good. And I really like those names! :)

But don't forget the other four horsemen: Grievous Bodily Harm, Cruelty to Animals, Things Not Working Properly Even After You've Given Them A Good Thumping But Secretly No Alcohol Lager, and Really Cool People. :D

<3 Good Omens :D

I would prefer galleys to be named with regards to PsyOps.
With references to Lighthouse and so on.

Call one for Cleopatra, one for Alexander, one for Caesar, one for Marc Anthony and one for Ptolemy and so on. We should not use galley names in order to hammer our chests in self glamoriation, conceitedness and narcissism, but in order to reprogram their rationale.
Brazuca should indeed believe we are cocky and self content, and renaming galley names pertaining to Alexandria, to Sao Paolo, would prove advantageous to the Rio mission. I urge COMA and the citizens to call for a psychologically cunning rename of these galleys, and rather personally rename them for the mop up operations.

I don't get what naming our galleys after Cleopatra, Marc Anthony, Alexandra and Ptolemy is going to do.

Care to fill me in? Do they get an extra HP? :p

Goonie

We want them to think we are heading for their lighthouse, and that we are cocky about it. It is a deception, but a very plausible one.

We should have sunk the first one, so they could not get the count of our galleys.

Well, Rcoutme, we should rather have risked a galley than to risk the surprise.

That is impossible; the galley is 4 tiles away from the previous location of the 2 screening galleys.
in other words: unreachable.

Good, as long as they do not get the count, we are safe for now. 2 Galleys are hardly an incursion. Sorry for misreading the situation.

I just looked at the picture again, and I have no idea what you're talking about. They can easily sail their Galley south and see every last Galley of ours!

How is that not a problem???

Well, it looks like we are playing 'hide-and-seek' with the galley again. Please start the turn off by moving the JT due north. See what is there and we will take appropriate action from there.

@ Cheetah...I did not think that the C3B team would want to lose yet another galley, so I allowed the fleet to move out of harbor. I figured that they would run, rather than risk a fight of 1 vet galley to 2 vet galleys. The bigger problem will be if they are sending their first galley a brother to help him in the fight...

Cities: Zoi is getting 9 spt, if we mine one of the irrigated spaces (there are two Fanatican workers available nearby...as opposed to slaves), then Zoi should go 10+ shields, due to GA. This has very significant ramifications, and we will finish the barracks next turn anyways...so mining started this turn will get used on the first build turn of a new unit.

Coba: switch to horseman
Charnel: switch to barracks? (I am open to alternate points of view on this one)
KD: If we add one worker (and one is available to the south), we will likely boost production to >15spt and kick in the free wall...I recommend this action.
Emp: Grows next turn, will it be unhappy or follow in Or's footsteps and create a content citizen? We need to watch out there
Klixus: Do we want it to grow, or have Duck Pond grow (Duck Pond has the lake, thus no need for 'duct). Probably want to give mined grass to Duck pond (the worker finishes this turn, iirc) by moving the worker from desert.

All other moves should be fairly routine: keep the four horsemen of the apocalypse hidden from view by leaving them on the hill. Move the horses in KD towards that hill. Send the AC's and new horsemen that are heading for the war zone towards that hill also.

Edit: Send the horseman, Famine, two squares due east. Next turn we will go 1 east and 1 north (to see what we can see....)

Some quick comments. Please move the entire fleet into Eastport (or whatever it eventually gets called) and unload all troops as we discussed earlier.

We will need to build up galleys and, potentially, catapults. The galleys will be used either as diversion or to actually carry troops (about 15-20 turns from now), the catapults will be used to accompany a land force up the center.

My intention is to create 4 forces, two galley fleets in the east, one galley fleet in the west and one army to march. This would, if successful, leave C3B guessing where our actual intent lies. Meanwhile, I believe that C3B is playing a predominantly defensive war, which works to our advantage as we are heading towards knights and also have a golden age. Because of this, I wish to avoid land combat until we are ready to destroy the entire civilization of C3B. I believe that we can do this with knights, since they would be unlikely to be able to counter them.

The catapults are for defensive bombardment, as it seems that they are defending by land from Mt. Doom with the intention of attacking any stacks that try to go by. If this is the case, then we only need to build a large stack of knights and artillery and absorb a few losses. We then simply keep on going.

I will send the eastern fleet north next turn from Eastport. The fleet will be empty and will be used to determine how C3B reacts to a large fleet sailing into their waters (and also to destroy any C3B galleys that we can).

If we find the east coast vulnerable, we will send troops up (either as raiders or invaders) provided that we have cleared the eastern sea of hostile ships.

I would not suggest having our 70-shield knights in such an open position. They're going to have more immortals than we knights until the end of the war (assuming we win).

One more thing, Rik, please get the names of all the C3B galleys.

@ Regentman: I was considering sending a few pikemen along to absorb most of the losses... :mischief:

Rik, we need the galley names for OOB info, combat record and general military intel tracking and unit count.

The plan sounds very reasonable. Arty might be a way to go. They however cannot sit forever behind that mountain, that's plain odd imho. The ought to do something. The reasonable thing for C3B is trying to land some decent force on the iron island by sailing through sea tiles.
