My initial thoughts are to move the settler 1W, then 1N on my first turn to uncover some of the ocean to the west, and see if there's some more seafood. Then, I'll either settle on the plains hill or the ivory on turn 1 (not to be confused with turn 0, 4000BC).
IIRC, Sumeria starts with the Wheel and Agriculture, so I'll probably research Fishing first, and depending on what I discover exploring either Hunting>AH, Pottery, or Mining>BW
Popped a hut, got a map, saw some gold. Might be a good candidate for a 2nd city, although it is a little far. Seems to be a lot of resources on this map. Also, AT would appear to have popped a tech from a hut.
Ok, thanks to the reload, it's likely the above post will never happen, which is could be awkward if I don't get a map to reveal the same land I did last time, since I still have that knowledge of where the nice looking city was.
