Super Mario Brothers Frustration

Once upon a time, some cruel modder decided to mess with the original Super Mario Brothers for the NES to create a level of sheer frustration. This was the result:

The vulgar gentleman speaking in the video did not actually play the game, as evidenced by the description. He was merely dubbing over the original frustration video.

Not much later, a video was released of another player defeating the entire Mario Forever (as we later learned the mod was called) in three minutes:

He provides a link in the video description to the ROM (all legal, well, mostly), which allows you and me to have a hack lol at the mod itself.

It appears all the roof blocks became solid once punched.

The video got old after five minutes or so, but his reactions were hilarious.

You've got to watch the video the entire way through. There are so many running gags, the best of which is, of course, the goombas gag. I think the climax happens at 17:30 or something like that.

I'm having serious trouble getting to the second block, I can't get the fast-run thing to work right.

EDIT: I got to the first "firestick" and just got tired of blowing the opening jump. Maybe I'll start on it again tommorow.
