System/Hardware Compatibility problem

Help!!!

I've bought a new computer and I'm having problems running Civ1 and Civ2.
I've asked the dealer for compatibility to old games, but he wasn't very attentive.

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit.
Graphic card: Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 4600
Memory: 4GB
CPU: AMD Athlon II x3 450

I was told that Win7 32bit would run Civ1.
I was told that Win 7 Pro or Ultimate would run the emulated win xp.
Can't change my OS now.

I'm using DosBox and V-Fend - but it's not enough: The game stops after several moves.
What can I do?

Did you look at this thread.

It might help you to play civ2 again.

Other option might be to create a virtual xp environment....
