We're in the '60s now. Yeah baby, YEAH! :band:

How are people with the following plan for Turn 61:

Turn 61
Warriors > Fortify
Worker 1 > N (to chop)
Worker 2 (next to Haz) > road (on hill)
Worker 3 > road (on horse)
Scout > E,NE
Party Boat > W,S (if no open borders) or SW,SW if open borders are granted.
Pavlodar > :whipped:
Hazrat-e > Work cottage instead of forested grassland

Isn't actau ready to whip granary yet?

Also the warrior in front of horse city, why is he sitting there and not getting on the desert hill?

It can't whip just yet IIRC. But soon...

And for the warrior, I didn't think we should take the risk just in case he gets unlucky and comes off the worse against a barb, Oskemen will be totally exposed. We'll have a Chariot soon anyway and he can push out into the darkness without fear.

Are we going to do some more exploring to the west?
We can't go further west just yet, it's all blocked off by mountains. Only way we can go by land is north.

Everything is fine with me EXCEPT whipping Pavlodar... Whip Hazrate, whip Aktau, whip Oskemen. Whip Whip Whip till the screams of the slaves reach the heavens and the whipmaster's calouses start to bleed, but for heavens sake don't whip Pavlodar...

OK that was a little dramatic :mischief: since Smoke said he already tested with whipping and Confu still founded in Pavlodar, but since we don't know HOW MUCH whipping Smoke did, I would caution against multiple whippings of Pavlodar.:)

I am not at home, so I can't run tests for several hours... I don't want to hold up the turn.

I doubt we're going to do more than 1 whip in Pavlo before we get CoL!

We should have whipped pavlodar same turn road on horse would be ready so we could overflow to chariot...not warrior!

EDIT: still not used to this turn based  overflow is next turn of course :D

I know directly west is blocked, but in that general direction. Are we going to build another work boat to search via sea?

I don't think another work boat for exploring would be useful. Seems it would be quicker to find Saturn and MS by land through the hub.

It will be good to have a boat go west, making sea contact with MS after all will allow us to trade with them.

I also don't how many mountain ranges we come across by land that may make land contact very difficult.

My only concern with building a workboat is we are not far away from getting barb galleys...

Little update on Monarchy from the tech thread:

The latest ETA on Cav getting Monarchy is turn 67 btw.

This should work out perfectly for Hazrat-e growing to size 7 as we should get Monarch on the same turn it grows, meaning we can civic change straight away.
But do we want to slow Haz's growth to build a Granary first??

On the more immediate, how is the following for Turn 62?

Turn 62
Warriors > Fortify
Worker 1 > Chop
Worker 2&3 > finish roads
Scout > NE
Pavlodar > Switch to producing Chariot
Aktau > :whipped: (IIRC)
Party Boat > ??

What do we do with our boat?

Option 1: March on. Let's craft a suitable message to SANCTA to say why. Only downside of doing this is that we will be at war with them when we get Alphabet, so we can't see what techs they have straight away.

Option 2: Wait until we tech Alphabet, see what techs they have, then immediately declare war, so they can't see what we have.

So are people having with us DoW'ing SANCTA to take the Twilight path??

We can tell them we don't have Alphabet now anyway and don't want to commit our selves to a trade just yet. We also don't have sailing so open borders won't help us trade either.

Are we ok with this course of action?? hellooo people?

I prefer not to have the phony war but if there are reasons (beyond continuing on to meet Saturn) I'm willing to consider them. Is it in our best interest to hide the fact that we have alphabet? How long would the phony war need to last? It seems SANCTA would expect the war to end once we clear their borders.

If we decide to have a phony war with SANCTA or make open borders without a tech trade I think we can proceed without asking anyone's permission. We just can't do any tech trades with SANCTA unless we bring our allies into it.

I am not OK with any plan... since we have not consulted or allies. We should talk to allies first... then we can choose between Twilight or Daylight. I think that so far, most of the team is aginst accepting the Twilight plan.

See my comments over here.

If we don't have a decision for this turn we should just stay where we are.

btw I've done all turn actions but haven't ended turn yet. we need more people to share their view on our workboat and SANCTA relations for this turn

I am with Smoke - DoW and say that we don't have Alpha to trade right now. We could be the first to map this island / continent and find the location of all the civs.

Let the party boat cruise on!
