Tactics and Strategy Turns 61-70

The worker should build a road to the future gold city, that is what it should do, as well as a road to the wine, we can turn into a winery very quickly in 3-4 turns time.
 
so exactly where should it move to on this coming turn?
 
It seems like people want to whip Aktau regularly and keep it at pop 2 for a while. So we should hook up the deer next and whip the granary and monument. This will also keep our score down and help Confucianism found in Pav.
 
I would like to get that monument done before the settler, but I seem to be in a minority of 1 on this :(

The deers will be good to hook up as they will be better for producing workers and settler than the mine (4:food:1:hammers: vs 4:hammers:).

If we are going to go straight to the deer then next actions are 1SW,road > move to deer > build camp. 1SW,road would be the most appropriate action if we were to road to city 5 spot anyway. So that should be our action this turn if we don't want the monument.

We can whip Aktau at pop 2 when the settler is near completion but after that we should let it grow to pop 3 before whipping again.

WRT Hazrat-e - we'll have Monarchy on the same turn it reaches pop 7, so we can revolution on that turn and we won't have any problems with unhappiness.

Regarding the scout I say we exlore those couple of tiles to the NW then head south to fog bust if he's still alive.
 
If we put our scout on fog busting duty when will we get to exploring the center hub?

Road SW this turn to complete the road to actau and we decide whether to chop or improve deer next turn....it does not make a difference to chop 1 turn later as hammers will overflow to settler anyway...

The scout do as you think...it does not make much difference as we will have a chariot soon.
 
Right, now's the time for us to move our workboat on.

I didn't get things quite right before: we can see SANCTA's techs whislt at war. It's only resources and gold per turn that you can't see.

Hopefully by the time we've passed through SANCTA's borders we'll know what they are after next and can then decide if we do want to trade with them.

I'm thinking we should just pass through and say 'let us know when you have decided if you want to trade'
 
Yes we should DoW and transit through now. Our workboat is the last thing that needs to move before we can end turn. Does anyone have any objections?
 
The good thing is that the ball is in their court now. We can say we don't know how they need to make a decision but in the meantime we will take the Way of Twilight and look at exchanges once we have passed through.
 
Kaleb did you send the trade...meditation for writting to cavaleiros this turn?

Cav will send the proposal to us on their turn (ie now) so we'll have it within the round.
 
Ok for next turn we need to decide whether to chop or improve deer in actau..I will be able to do some testing from our current position Friday european evening...if we can can we hold on playing till then?

Suggestions look good for next turn. Nice to see our first chariot is about done. Exploration time! Even better to see our library and those scientists. We didn't get them from the Mad Ones, did we? :eek:
 
I think Pavlodar should build Chariots until it gets to size 4 when it should build a worker :)
