The following story is a mixture of fact & fiction. The facts come from Wikipedia, the fiction comes from my game play, let me know what you think.

Background - Second Sino-Japanese War

July 7th, 1937 the Marco Polo Bridge Incident, the indecisive battle in which the Japanese attack was repulsed & the Chinese forced to retreat from the bridge heightened tensions that directly led into full scale war between the Republic of China and the Empire of Japan. Though the Nationalist and Communist Chinese would cooperate in military campaigns against Japan and sought to create a united national front, Mao Tse-tung refused Chiang Kai-shek’s wish to directly control communist forces. In 1939, the Chinese Communist Red Army consisted of troops independent of the KMT.

By 1941, the conflict had become a stalemate. Although Japan had occupied much of northern and central China, the Kuomintang had retreated to the interior with a provisional capital set up at Chongqing while the Chinese communists remained in control of base areas near Yan’an.

In an effort to discourage Japanese militarism, Western powers including Australia, the United States, Britain, and the Dutch government in exile, which controlled the oil/rubber-rich Netherlands East Indies, stopped selling iron ore, steel and oil to Japan, denying it the raw materials needed to continue its activities in China and French Indochina. In Japan, the government and nationalists viewed these embargos as acts of war; imported oil made up about 80% of domestic consumption, without which Japan's economy, let alone its military, would grind to a halt.

Faced with a choice between economic collapse and withdrawal from its recent conquests (& loss of face), the Japanese Imperial General Headquarters began planning for an all out war with the western powers in the Spring of 1941. The plan consisted of 8 different Army Groups, named after their point of origin (Saipan AG, Palau AG, Formosa AG, Kwajalein AG, Northern China AG, Indochina AG, Saigon AG, Truk Island AG) plus the aerial bombardment of Hawai’i, attacking simultaneously throughout Asia & the Pacific. Each Army Group except for Kwajalein AG, had an Operation Phase I & Phase II.

The date was set, on December 8th, 1941 (December 7 in Western Hemisphere) the Empire of the Sun would make the world tremble under the marching boots of the Imperial Japanese Military.

Naval Operations
Transmitted Message from Vice Chief of the Naval General Staff to JIGH (Japanese Imperial General Headquarters)
On 7 December (8 December in the Eastern Hemisphere), we launched a carrier based air attack on Pearl Harbor knocking 3 Yankee Battleships out of action, along with 2 Submarines, some of them burned for several days before sinking. 2 Fighter Air Units were also destroyed on the ground, 80.000 civilian casualties are estimated. However, 3 of our Air Units were also lost over Hawai’i, apparently a couple of Yank fly-boys were able to take off during the attack & inflicted heavy damage!

Suspected Fly-boys...
Spoiler :
Fly-boys.jpg

Most unfortunately, on our return back to Tokyo we ran into a large Yank naval force, which very shrewdly attacked one our Aircraft Carriers, she was sunk along with 3 more Air Units!, 1 Destroyer & Submarine were also sunk. 33% of our Air Units will not be returning to Tokyo!

We have gambled that the United States, when faced with such a sudden and massive defeat, would agree to a negotiated settlement and allow us free rein in China. This gamble has not paid off! Yankee losses were less serious than initially hoped: the Aircraft Carriers were at sea during the attack and vital naval infrastructure (fuel oil tanks and the shipyard facilities) were unscathed. On the other hand, near Singapore we took out 2 Brit Battleships, the Prince of Wales & the Repulse, so it‘s not all bad yeah…

Saipan Army Group
Spoiler :
SaipanAG.jpg

Transmitted Message from Saipan AG (Army Group) Commander to JIGH (Japanese Imperial General Headquarters)
-Battle of Guam; Saipan AG consisting of 1 Infantry, 1 Arty & 3 Marine units set sail for the short trip to Guam, backed by 5 Naval Units bombardment & 2 Air Units from our base in Saipan launching air raids. The Marines began landing on the north flank of Tumon Bay on the upper northwest coast and moved towards Agana. The principal engagement took place on Agana's Plaza de Espana at 04:45 hours when some Yank troops fought with the Marines. After token resistance, the Yankees surrendered at 05:45 hours. 1 hour, Phase I complete, HA! Governor McMillin officially surrendered at 06:00. No further fighting took place, but for a few skirmishes all over the island before news of the surrender spread and the rest of the island forces surrendered as well. 1 Infantry, 1 Civil Militia, 1 Submarine terminated & an Arty unit captured from the Americans. 30.000 civilian casualties, minimal injuries for us, we will now rest up & prepare for Phase II, the invasion of Wake Island.

Palau Army Group

Spoiler :
PalauAG.jpg

Transmitted Message from Paulau AG (Army Group) Commander to JIGH (Japanese Imperial General Headquarters)
-Battle of Davao; Palau AG consisting of 1 Arty, 1 Infantry, 2 Paratrooper & 2 Marine Units supported with 1 Naval Unit & 4 Air Units began the assault with naval & aerial bombardment of Davao & nearby enemy ships. Our Marine & Infantry Units landed at the northeast end of Mindanao Island. Despite strong resistance, we established a beachhead that was soon reinforced by Paratrooper & Artillery. The defenders were quickly pushed back toward the hills, leaving the city open for us. Phase I completed with no casualties. America Submarine & Destroyer sunk, Infantry & Civil Militia Units killed, about 130.000 civilian casualties mostly from the aerial bombardments, inevitable as we have no precision bombs!

Formosa Army Group

Spoiler :
FormosaAG.jpg

Transmitted Message from Formosa AG (Army Group) Commander to JIGH (Japanese Imperial General Headquarters)
-Invasion of Luzon Island (Aparri & Manila); Formosa AG consisting of 1 Arty, 3 Infantry, 2 Light Tank & 2 Marine Units supported with 6 Naval Units & 8 Air Units headed out towards the Philippine island of Luzon with the intent to capture Aparri in the north & main Filipino city of Manila.

Our main force landed in the east & north near Aparri, the American generals, with their poorly trained Yank & Filipino soldiers could neither repel the landings nor pin us on the beaches. A few B-17s flying from Australia attacked the invasion fleet, and Yankee Naval Units attacked us from adjacent waters, most regrettably 2 Destroyers were lost in the process,  however we did take out 1 Destroyer & 1 Submarine.  Our remaining units landed further south along the gulf, Yank units here, advancing to meet them, put up a strong fight but, after taking heavy casualties and with no hope of sufficient reinforcements, they were forced to withdraw. Aparri was easily conquered. 1 Civil Militia, 1 Infantry killed, 20.000 civilian casualties.

The next day our men hit the beaches at three locations along the shore of Lamon Bay in southern Luzon where they found Yank forces dispersed, and without artillery protecting the eastern coast, unable to offer serious resistance. They immediately consolidated their positions and began the drive north toward Manila where they would link up with the forces advancing south toward the capital for the final victory. Phase I is still ongoing, so far we have suffered no land unit losses.

Kwajalein Army Group
Transmitted Message from Kwajalein AG (Army Group) Commander to JIGH (Japanese Imperial General Headquarters)
-Invasion of Tarawa; Kwajalein AG consisting of 1 Infantry & 2 Marine Units backed up by 3 Naval Units & 1 Air Unit headed out towards the tiny atoll of Tarawa. Our Marines started their attack on the lagoon at 09:00, we had allowed for Betio's neap tide & expected the normal rising tide to provide a water depth of 1.5 m over the reef, allowing larger landing craft, with drafts of at least 1.2 m, to pass with room to spare. The neap tide phenomenon occurs twice a month when the moon is near its first or last quarter, because the countering tug of the sun causes water levels to deviate less. Pretty damn ingenious if I may say so myself, but I digress, needless to say the Commonwealth troops offered very little resistance & Tarawa was captured with not even a nick on any of our crack troops! 1 Civil Militia was killed. My one and only operation is complete, if you need me for anything else let me know, I’ll be catching some waves on the beach.

Northern China Army Group

Transmitted Message from Northern China AG (Army Group) Commander to JIGH (Japanese Imperial General Headquarters)
-Battle of Taiyuan; Northern China AG consisting of 14 Infantry, 3 Arty, 1 Light Tank backed up by 2 Air Unit, we’ve sent a large force to capture the fortress near Taiyuan, while some other Infantry Units were sent to fortify the border cities of Kaifeng, Nanjing, Hangzhou & Baotou against any Commie or KMT attacks. The fortress was taken with ease, 1 Infantry & Civil Militia were killed, we are now poised to attack Taiyuan with a large force!

Indochina Army Group
Spoiler :
IndochinaAG.jpg

Transmitted Message from Indochina AG (Army Group) Commander to JIGH (Japanese Imperial General Headquarters)
-Battle of HongKong & Nanning; Indochina AG consisting of 10 Infantry, 5 Light Tanks, 4 Arty, 1 Combat Engineers & 2 Air Units were split to launch a simultaneous attack on Nanning & Hong Kong.

-Battle of Nanning; With the help of the Thai & Vietnamese local governments, we were able to send a large force through Hanoi to attack Nanning. The operation was conducted with speed & precision, our forces overran a the defenders across the Yong River, eliminating 2 Infantry, Civil Militia & Guerrilla Units, with 40.000 civilian casualties.

-Battle of Hong Kong; We were made aware before the attack, that the British government had accepted an offer by the Canadians to send infantry units to reinforce the Hong Kong garrison. Our attack began shortly after 8 am on December 8th, less than eight hours after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Brit, Canuck & Indian forces, commanded by Major-General Maltby supported by the Hong Kong Volunteer Defense Corps resisted the invasion by our Infantry & Light Tanks, commanded by Lieutenant General Sakai Takashi, but we outnumbered them three to one and they lacked our recent combat experience.

The Commonwealth forces decided against holding the Sham Chun River, which was quickly forded by us using temporary bridges, and instead they established three battalions in the Gin Drinker’ Line across the hills. These defenses were rapidly breached early on December 10th. The evacuation from Kowloon started on December 11th under aerial bombardment and artillery barrage. As much as possible, military and harbor facilities were demolished before the withdrawal. By December 13th, the Rajputs of the British Indian Army, the last Commonwealth troops on the mainland, had retreated to Hong Kong Island.

On December 15th, we began systematic bombardment of the island's North Shore. Two demands for surrender were made on 13th & 17th of December. When these were rejected, our forces crossed the harbor on the evening of 18th of December and landed on the island's North-East. We suffered only light casualties, although no effective command could be maintained until the dawn came. That night, approximately 20 gunners were massacred at the Sai Wan Battery after they had surrendered. Later on there was a further massacre of prisoners, this time of medical staff, in the Salesian Mission on Chai Wan Road.

Fierce fighting continued on Hong Kong Island but the we annihilated the headquarters of West Brigade and could not be forced from the Wong Ne Chong Gap that secured the passage between downtown and the secluded southern parts of the island. From December 20 the island became split in two with the British Commonwealth forces still holding out around the Stanley peninsula and in the West of the island. At the same time, their water supplies started to run short as the we captured the island's reservoirs.

On the morning of December 25th, some of our troops entered the British field hospital at St. Stephen’s College & tortured and killed a large number of injured soldiers, along with the medical staff. By the afternoon, it was clear that further resistance would be futile and British colonial officials headed by the Governor, Sir Mark Aitchison Young, surrendered in person at the Japanese headquarters on the third floor of the Peninsula Hong Kong hotel. This is the first occasion in which a British Crown Colony has surrendered to an invading force! Total killed 1 Infantry & 1 Civil Militia with 60.000 civilians.

I've only just breifly read this but what I've picked up is very good. I love these sort of stories. Gonna have to get mine into action. Kudos!

Is this available to download? :mischief:

Try this one out, you need to already have the PTW units in your folders somewhere for the Soviets to work, otherwise just dump that stuff in the Conquest Scenarios folder. There are 2 versions, so that the AI is given extra help. Let me know if you have any problems... :goodjob:

Awesome, I love stories that are more than just a turn log (though those can be neat to). I'll be watching this one... and trying to think of cool things to happen in my own story of course.

Transmitted Message from Vice Chief of the Naval General Staff to JIGH (Japanese Imperial General Headquarters)
-Battle in the Pacific near Midway & Hawaii vs Americans; Over several days we have been encountering enemy Yank ships, commencing large naval & aerial battles. We inflicted many heavy casualties, 2 Submarines, 1 Heavy Cruiser, 1 Bomber & 1 Fighter. Unfortunately, we did lose another Aircraft Carrier & with it 2 Bombers & 1 Zero. We also lost another Destroyer in another engagement.

Northern China Army Group
Transmitted Message from Northern China AG to JIGH (Japanese Imperial General Headquarters)
-Battle of Taiyuan; All roads leading to Taiyuan were effectively blocked preventing any reinforcements, the attack began at 05:00 and continued for a few days. After the violent fight, we had taken out
3 Infantry, 1 Civil Militia, 1 MG Battalion, 2 Guerrillas & another Infantry belonging to the Communist Chinese. 60.000 civilian casualties & we only lost 1 Infantry unit. Phase I complete, we shall now concentrate on Operation II, Fuzhou.

Formosa Army Group
Transmitted Message from Formosa AG (Army Group) Commander to JIGH (Japanese Imperial General Headquarters)
-Battle of Manila; Yankee and Filipino forces repelled our night attacks near Abucay, and elements of the U.S. Philippine Division counterattacked. This failed, and their troops returned to the battle line. We renewed our attacks with an attempted amphibious landing behind the lines, by a group of Marines, then with general attacks beginning along the battle line. The amphibious landing was disrupted by a enemy forces contained in brutally dense jungle. The pocket was then slowly forced back to the cliffs, with high casualties on both sides. Landings to reinforce the surviving pocket on were severely disrupted by air attacks from their few remaining Air Units. We have taken out 1 Light Tank, 1 Civil Militia, 1 Infantry & 1 Flak. In the sea, an enemy Cruiser & Destroyer were sunk. We also lost a Battleship & a Light Tank. There appears to be a lot more enemy forces in Manila than first thought, which is what is holding us up, from completing Phase I.

Transmitted Message from Saigon AG (Army Group) Commander to JIGH (Japanese Imperial General Headquarters)-Battle of Palembang (for Rubber Resource); Saigon AG consisting of 3 Infantry, 2 Marines, 1 Combat Engineer, 1 Arty supported by 6 Naval Units. Phase I, the Rubber-rich city of Pelambang is too far to be supported by Air Units. We finally arrived at Palembang & launched a Marine assault, at the same time, our other units landed in the hills outside the city proper. I’m happy to report the first Dutch kills of the war 1 Infantry, 1 Flak, 1 & a Heavy Cruiser. The Navy did lose a Destroyer though.

Truk Island Army Group

Transmitted Message from Truk Island AG (Army Group) Commander to JIGH (Japanese Imperial General Headquarters)-Battle of Rabaul; Rabaul AG consisting of 2 Infantry, 3 Marines, 1 MG Battalion, 1 Arty supported by 3 Naval Units, like the boys from the Saigon AG, our operation is too far away to be supported by Air Units. After a light naval bombardment, our Marines assaulted the port of Rabaul only to encounter a viscous barrage of steel coming from the Aussie MG Battalions, our naval bombardment caused no damage to their MG Battalions & we had to face them at full strength. Needless to say we lost 2 valuable Marine Units & 1 Cruiser, we took out only 1 Infantry & a Submarine. The rest of our units landed in the hills of the island.

-Events in China;
We lost a Bomber during one of our air raids near Taiyuan. On the road to Fuzhou, we were attacked and an entire Infantry unit was lost as well. In other news, the city of Nanning was heavily bombed by Commonwealth Air Units, there was about 30.000 civilian casualties, but we did take out a Brit Fighter.

Formosa Army Group
Transmitted Message from Formosa AG (Army Group) Commander to JIGH (Japanese Imperial General Headquarters)
-Battle of Manila;
The attack on Manila continued & we were able to take out 2 MG Battalions, however there still seems to be a number of Yank troops left. Our total strength was weakening somewhat & I have ordered the suspension of offensive land operations in order to reorganize our forces. We will pull back to Aparri, while continuing the bombardment of the city with our Air & Naval units. Also, I am bringing in 4 Infantry units from Okinawa & Hainan to reinforce or battle group in the Philippines.

We cannot attack Rabaul without support, I have ordered our troops to stay on the island & bunker down till reinforcements arrive. There will be reinforcements right, right??? “Courageous Battle Vow”
“Above all else we shall dedicate ourselves and our entire strength to the defense of this island.
We shall grasp bombs, charge the enemy tanks and destroy them.
We shall infiltrate into the midst of the enemy and annihilate them.
With every salvo we will, without fail, kill the enemy.
Each man will make it his duty to kill 10 of the enemy before dying.
Until we are destroyed to the last man, we shall harass the enemy by guerrilla tactics.”

The Drive is on in China
Special Cable to THE TOKYO TIMES
By Toni Takatani
Fuzhou, Monday, March 28 - The Imperial Japanese Army Group of Northern China landed near Fuzhou only to find the defenders retreating all along the front line. Lieutenant Hideki instructed the troops to prepare to destroy the Fuzhou Naval Yard, fifteen kilometers downriver from Fuzhou at Mawei, and to attack the Chinese fleet in Mawei harbor. His orders were for his ships' landing companies to go ashore with the naval engineers to destroy the naval yard. Preparations were made for a landing, but Hideki then changed his mind, after observing that the Navy Yard was defended by organized groups of Chinese infantry. The attack was cancelled as the Japanese soldiers were on the point of climbing into their launches.

Instead, the Japanese bombarded the navy yard, damaging a number of outbuildings and primitive Chinese warships, still under construction and lying on the slips. A certain amount of damage was inflicted, but without the support of heavy guns, Hideki was unable to destroy the Yard completely. He himself admitted in his official report that the damage done 'was not as much as I had hoped for'.

The battle for the city continued as the troops began to lead down the Min River. Later the Japanese bombarded the Tianluowan and Min'an batteries, two Chinese shore batteries covering the approach to Fuzhou through the narrow Min'an Pass. The Chinese batteries, built to fire only on enemy ships approaching from the mouth of the river, were taken in reverse and destroyed.

Finally, the Japanese Air Squadron bombarded and destroyed the Chinese defenses at the Jinpai pass near the entrance to the Min River. The Jinpai and Changmen batteries were put out of action, and the Japanese also inflicted heavy casualties on a number of Chinese field batteries and infantry formations. Soon the defenders began to surrender as they lost all hope of defending the city. In all, the Chinese lost 1 Combat Engineer, 1 Civilian Militia, 2 Infantry Units & 60.000 civilian casualties.

The importance of Fuzhou cannot be understated, we now have a clear road from Korea to Malaya, which will make it easier to reinforce the troops in their conquest of Indonesia & hopefully soon Australia!

Action in the Pacific
Near the fortified atoll known as Wake Island a series of brutal naval engagements took place involving navy ships of all kinds with Air Units aboard Aircraft Carriers. Over several days, reconnaissance flights from both Japanese & American Carriers began to spot each other. Once spotted the assault from both sides into full effect. By the end of hostilities, the Americans had lost 1 Submarine, 2 Destroyers & 1 Fighter Unit, while the Japanese suffered the lost of 1 Battleship, 2 Cruisers, 1 Fighter & 1 Bomber Unit. These naval battles are just merely a precursor to the expected invasion of Wake Island by the Imperial Japanese Saipan Army Group

In the South Pacific, near Papua, navy commanders reported victories over 2 Australian Cruisers and a British Submarine.

Road to Malaya
The Indochina Army Group reported heavy skirmishes in the jungles of Malaya as they approached the city of Kuala Lumpur. Corporal Hitachi was quoted as saying, "Sporadic mortar and artillery fire fell on the enemies early in the day. The jungles were made secure against small-arms fire as our forces deepened their positions behind the brush. Heavy units of the IAG continued to shell enemy installations on the jungle and aircraft gave close support to the ground troops throughout the day.” As of late, a total of 4 Infantry Units had been disposed off, including 1 Infantry Unit from Australia.
Events in Indonesia

Ketapang: The Reserve Korps Oud Militairen (RK) under the command of Lieutenant Radema was responsible for the defence of Ketapang. He had two of his brigades placed along the coast line and one at his CP in the jungles. The rest of the company had to defend Mapanget airfield. The landings at Ketapang started at 03:00 and were made swiftly. The Japanese transport ships quickly left the area. When Radema heard about the Japanese landing he immediately ordered his troops to regroup at Ketapang to defend the city. So far 2 Dutch Infantry have been wiped out, a major assault is expected soon.

Menado: The unit of Compagnie Menado, which numbered only 188 men under Captain W.F.J. Kroon and Landstorm Compagnie with its 200 troops under 1st Lieutenant F. Masselink were not enough to oppose thousands of Japanese amphibious assault at 04:00 on March 11th. Initially when the defense failed, they were instructed to retreat to Tinoör stronghold, located some five miles inland. After some sporadic fights and due to poor communication, instead of defending Tinoör-line, the Compagnie Menado had to move to Koha. The Tinoör was defended by Lieutenant van de Laar from Reserve Korps Oud Militairen (RK) and the reinforcement from Landstorm Compagnie under 1st.Lt. Masselink. The fighting at Tinoör lasted until 15:00 when the KNIL was out of ammunition and had to retreat to Kakaskasen.

In several places the remaining KNIL forces tried to start a guerrilla war against the Japanese. Captain Kroon assembled what was left of the Menado Compagnie (about 50 men) and retreated towards Kembes, hoping to start an active guerrilla from this place. Due to regular desertions by his native soldiers he reached Kembes with only a few men left. Here the group was taken prisoner by the Japanese. All European members, except Kroon himself, were executed at Langoan. The fighting lasted the whole day, as previously ordered, the Japanese troops burned the city of Menado to the ground. 1 MG Battalion, 2 Infantry, 1 Civilian Militia Units were destroyed, while only 60.000 civilian casualties.. 800 MILES TO KOAPANG!!!

Battle for the Philippines
Japanese troops in the midst of a “rest & recovery” phase of the invasion of the Philippines were still able to confront an attacking Yankee Infantry unit, which was quickly dealt with. Round the clock bombing of Manila continued for days on end destroying many of the city’s infrastructure, however 1 Bomber Unit was shot down over Manila.
Miscellanous

The British continued their aerial assault on Nanning, but not without casualties as a Bomber unit was shot down. Anther Fighter Unit was shot down over Taiyuan, this one being from the Chinese Nationalist. We also heard reports of the loss of a Transport Unit near Truk Island by an enemy Submarine, fortunately no Japanese troops or equipment was on board.

Saipan Army Group
Transmitted Message from Saipan AG (Army Group) Commander to JIGH (Japanese Imperial General Headquarters)
-Battle of Wake Island;
The continuing siege and frequent air attacks on the Wake garrison continued, without re-supply for the Americans. The initial resistance offered by the garrison prompted us to detach two Aircraft Carriers Sōryū and Hiryū from the force that attacked Pearl Harbor to support the landing attempt. During our movements a large American Task Force was spotted which contained many ships including an Aircraft Carrier. We went to work on them!

The invasion force, composed mostly of the Navy ships & Marines. The landings began at 02:35 where, after a preliminary bombardment, the ex-destroyers Patrol Boat No. 32 and Patrol Boat No. 33 were beached and burned in their attempts to land the invasion force. After a full night and morning of fighting, the Wake garrison surrendered to us by mid-afternoon. The U.S. lost 1 Submarine, 1 Destroyer, 1 Aircraft Carrier, 2 Fighters, 1 Bomber, 1 Infatry, 1 Civilian Militia, ! Flak & a captured Arty, in addition there was 20.000 civilian casualties. We only lost 1 Fighter in the battle.

Awaiting an imminent retaliation, the we have reinforced Wake Island with more formidable defenses. The Yankee captives have been ordered to build a series of bunkers and fortifications on Wake. We are using the captured 200:)mm naval artillery gun. Sir, we are now just 1,500 MILES TO MIDWAY!!!

Battle of Ketapang;
When the first of our troops, including tanks, reached Ketapang at 09:00, the Dutch tried to stop our advance with few available troops. But at last, they had to withdraw from Ketapang and plan for a guerrilla war. However due to high rate of native troops desertion, they had to give up this plan as well. The natives see us as liberators, we see them as a source of labor! Ketapang and the oil facilities are ours!!! 1 MG Battalion, 1 Flak, 1 Infantry Units killed, 40.000 civilian casualties reported. Only 1 Fighter Unit lost. Operation Phase II is complete, to keep our troops active, I have decided to take out the city of Medan on the far west coast of Sumatra, this will allow us to support the Indochina AG in their invasion of Singapore. Oh & also, we are now only 1,000 MILES TO KOAPANG!!!

Miscelleanous Reports;
2 Destroyers lost in the Pacific, one near the Philippines & the other near our island fortress of Kwajelain. The Indochina AG advances to the hills outside of Kuala Lumpur, well within range of our Arty units which have begun round-the-clock shelling. Commonwealth Bomber Unit shot down over Nanning. Commonwealth naval units from Canada reach the home island and begin shelling the city of Toyohara, so far we have taken out an enemy Submarine near the city. All civilians near the coast line were evacuated further inland to avoid the indiscriminate bombing by those barbarians.

After securing Manado, our forces moved eastward and landed north of Tenate on May 23rd. Tenate airfield was quickly secured with little resistance. By the evening of 24th Tenate was withing our grasp. 1 Infantry, 1 MG Battalion, 1 Civil Militia, 1 Flak all destroyed, 50.000 civilian casualties. We did lose a Bomber during an air raid however.

-Battle of Kuala Lampur;
We were initially resisted by III Corps of the Indian Army and several British Army battalions. We quickly isolated the individual Indian units defending the coastline, before concentrating our forces to surround the defenders and force their surrender. We held a slight advantage in numbers on the ground, and were significantly superior in close air support, armor, co-ordination, tactics and experience, with the our units having fought in China.
