hi, i'm new and a bit of a noob. what iw anted to know is how can you be the first to be able to get tanks, and produce them as quickly as possible? thanks

Welcome to the forums, faddyisgod!

Being the first to get tanks means having a tech lead, which in general means getting a successful empire up and running. I would advise you to read some of the introductory material in the war academy (http://www.civfanatics.com/civ4/strategy/), especially sisutils guide for beginners.

If you get stuck with a specific problem, you can always post screenshots and ask for advice.
