    Get peace with Bismark, you will have to give him Philosophy.

    After peace trade Bsimark our clams for 7gpt. This will give an added benefit of helping improve our relations, give us some needed gold and serve as a reason for Bsimark not to attack us.

    Basics
    I assume we will sign a peace treaty with Germany and then strengthen ourselves for a retaliatory attack upon Berlin.

    The idea is to strengthen a number of Defensive Points to cover ourselves, with the 2 points closest to Germany being the launching point for the counter-attack. Here is a map:


    Def1 and Def4 are to cover flanking attacks from Bismarck. They have already proved useful in this war and we will be vulnerable without at least one defensive unit at each of these points. Def5 is for a couple of horse archers to be a mobile reserve force to cover problems and possibly join the attack if all goes well. Def2 and Def3 support Basillica as well as being launching points for a counter-offensive.

    dont do anythign with teh Great Scientist..we need to see who it would help us with techs..We may be able to get our religion after all. I think after this TC we need to discuss it with the citizens.

    On behalf of the people I request a STOP when any Great Person is born.

    This order must be countersigned by a triumvirate member to be enforceable, but the DP may choose to stop at any point (you won't get in trouble for following it if it isn't countersigned, only for not following it if it is countersigned).

    MoI: Put general orders in the Governor's Council thread. I'm DP, so I know what I want.

    Also, the GP will be born after one press of enter, so there won't be much to do. Shortest TC ever!

    I'd like our president to reconsider the stop but it makes sense to investigate which research pathes "light bulbing" the GS reveil. Honestly...if the lightbulb will only give us what we are researching now ( a few turns left)..I think the TC should go till teh next tech is found and then we can look at the lightbulb option. Right now we would have another abbreviated TC( next one) once we reach the new tech. This is a mistake to have 2 very short TCs...not good for people to stay interested.

    Also if I am not mistaken..GS useage DOESNOT have to be polled or discussed. Therefore if our Mnister of science was not out of town he could do what he wanted with the GS.

    There was NO discussion or poll to decide on the acedemy last time.

    Extremely sorry about that. Couldnt get on in time to revise my instructions. I originally thought that the great person would take a couple of turns based on Daveshack's request. (I had no way of checking the save either because I am on vacation.) I'm going to try and work it out where we can get a turnchat played in the next 1-2 days. If GeorgeOP feels like he was cheated out of a turnchat I will ask Oldbus to pass his turn.

    Well I'd perfer whoever can make a turnchat first really, as the next turnchat would really jsut be a continuation of this turnchat, since only the pre-turn was played, and the only decision that must be made is the G.S. All the directions posted here could be used. I don't think many people would be in opposition to this.

    I think DaveShack should be given an opportunity to start a discussion about the GS.

    One option is to play 7 turns (it will take that long to get Feudalism) and then stop before we have to chose the next tech to research.

    The reason we needed to stop after the G.S. is to explore what can be done. Can we get a really good tech? Should we wait until the next G.P. is born to get a golden age? Build another academy in our next best science city? These things need to be brought to the attention of our citizens so they can be involved in the game, instead of having one person (Science Minister) decide. It's especially important right now to involve the people because we're on the cusp of pulling a victory out of the jaws of defeat, or fading away to the first ever demogame loss.
