Poll as to who blends the best tea. (forgot to click the box before)
Ceylon (but I never tried any other really).
Tetley.. I don't know most of them. Lipton is not good at all.
Twinings (Earl Grey is my favorite). Unfortunately my wife bought a sampler case (12 boxes!!!) of Bigelow from a fund-raiser recently so I'll be drinking it for quite a while. Bigelow makes some fairly good flavored teas (Raspberry is real good). But to me their more standard teas aren't as good as Twinings.
Long Island Iced is my favorite tea.
I went with tetley.
I prefer Twinings, but I think I'll buy a box of Tetley soon, since it did well in this little poll.
Let me guess, this is a British thread
This was such e weird tea thread. You should ask what kind of tea people drink, not what brand.
Personally I like a China Oolong, not hot, nor temperate. I know it's an aquired taste, but I promise, when you get used to the fact that the tea leaves smell like goats and hay, you'll be hooked. There is a lovely variation with jasmin too.
Another favourite is Massai. It's some kind of herbal bled, and not tea per se. But it works the same way.
Scotty! Beam me up a nice cup o' China Oolong. It's been too long.
Right now I drink Lipton, but not because it's my favourite. All blenders taste the same to me, so usually I pick them at random.
exactly. I didn't dare to ask "can I just say black tea?"
My favourite is:
Whittard (of Chelsea): Old English Fruits - Leaf Tea
I like Twinings alot. Drinking some right now. Lipton is terrible though, tastes like sewage water.
Well, this thread is about drinks that actually have tea in them
Twinnings Irish breakfast
IMO, You aren't a serious tea drinker until you brew your own tea. My mother makes her won tea from scratch every morning, and she gives us what's left in the pot to dip our toast into. It is magnificent. She makes Chi, however, Indian tea. Unfortunately, Dunkin Donuts is bringing down the reputation of Chi with its own version of it that makes drinking coffee look good.
