They are Quin Shi Huang of the Chinese (Philosophical, Organized)

These traits mean that they get
Great People birth rate increased 100 percent.
    Double production speed of University.
    And
    Civic upkeep reduced 50 percent.
Double production speed of Lighthouse and Courthouse.

They also start with Agriculture and Mining with their Uu being the Cho-ku-nu

Well i think we all know DaveMCW is a VERY good civ player however as is shown by the big 18 player game he fails to understand the value of diplomacy with the humans, treating them in much the same way as he would the AI.

This team also seems to consist of a large number of MIA'er so maybe you could help us out here Ybbor/Meleager and give me some info about their civ4 playing ability because i dont know much about them.

Azzman is in the civIVor game and seems to focus a lot on military as he is the only one more powerful than me he has managed to combine that with the second highest gpt in the game which means he must be a fairly adequate civ4 player, does anyone have any contact with anyone from this team?

ok gonna go lie down for a few mins now-my fingers are a bit tired after all this typing :D

I agree Dave isn't the best when it comes to human interaction but he has some good backup in that depatment. I've had the pleasure of dealing with fe3333au who is MIA's FM in civ3 MTDG and he is very clued in when it comes to human player interaction. Definately a major threat with DaveMcW in charge as he know the mechanics of civ4 back to front and upside down. Definately the early favorites in my book. I must say the pitboss game has been a very good tool in learning about the other teams

I know what you mean, its a toss up whether Espilon fight an early war or not because we know how dave seems to like them.

I think the one thing to say about Fe is that he is a bit of a worrier, we could use this to our advantage but otherwise completly agree with what you say Robi

Based on my conversatiosn with dave..he doesnt like conquest vicitories. He rather win while every one is still in the game. 18 player pitboss...we wants a domination or score victory. Dave can be too focused on the over all picture as we have all seen. He still thought George was a free agent until george was 2 tiles away despite no one having open borders or trading with him.

Dave though Sigma was a free agent too, he tired to cover his surprise/frustration by dismissing Sigma's "puny forces". He made a few big mistakes in pitboss, mainly diplomatically, obviously he doesn't deal with human players too often, but their are others in the team to balance him out a little.

I am not going to be able to post any specifics, but I can tell you one thing, the teams members are very honorable and will not break a treaty at all.... So as long as they have the same leadership, I don't think we need to worry about them backstabbing us...

Without meaning to sound offensive they do certainly honour the treaties but seem to be able to stretch the meaning of 'agreements' so while we dont have to worry about backstabbing we should properly confirm whatever is meant.

Any ideas about playing style etc?

    attacking/productive/pop growth etc?

Well I doubt too many people will bring strategies over from civ3 to civ4, and I don't want to tell what they are focusing on...
Chamnix, the current turn player was the driver behind many of the strategies being used, however he hasn't joined the civ4 mtdg....

On the treaty, I actually don't know what really happened....

are you sure thats a constant turnplayer? memphus has subbed for dave a few times before, ill give it a couple more turns to make sure.

I imagine stonehenge as i think its too early to have completed the oracle (and get a decent use out of it-though i could be wrong)

memphus has played the last 4 turns. I would say stone henge is more likely too but oracle isn't impossible

    OK...why?

HR just doesnt seem worth the effort and production cost of the oracle. Explain to me why HR is so cool to get. I just dont get it.

well if we meet them we will know if its a civic tech. Unless they are planing a GP farm and specialist economy..HR doesnt help.
