Tech costs

Having a bit of a problem with tech costs. I love really long games (6000+) turns, and changing games to this long requires quite a bit of tinkering to get everything to scale correctly. However, I find that the last 10 or so techs in the tech tree have a -1 time to complete, and a negative cost. I assume that their must be a max tech cost, as the problem starts at about 203,000 beakers. Does anyone know more about this?

You've nailed it on the head as you can't have more than 203,000 beakers in a tech as the integer the game uses will overflow. You'll need to adjust your scaling somewhat taking into account the +5% for every city as the AI loves to ICS.
