Mr. President, as you may or may not know, the Judiciary is currently missing a Public Defender. This could result in a catastrophe of uncertain proportions. As President, you have sole authority to appoint a Public Defender, and I believe Nobody would be a good candidate for this position. Unfortunately he just missed the election filing deadline.
We seem to be short a trade & tech minister. Or he's working on a cloak of invisibility, I'm not sure which. In either case, I'll be getting some discussions going on those areas.

The Beakers of Hiberian Immortality, Immorality or whatever they're called, have left me with a dry mouth, upset stomach, throbbing headache and a very full bladder. And vague memories of being rather foolish, something about a tiara and speedos.
I also have some bruises I can't explain.
I'll download the save and get a report out sometime this evening.
We also don't have a Worker Allocation thread up. Until we get that, I'll post my Worker thoughts here. While we have our Workers up by the Incense, I think we should road it. The Temple in Maeve won't take that long to build and expansion comes quick. After roading the lux, we can send them West to road in the Yellow city.

Mr President, please consider the following changes in the sliders.
If we increase the lux rate to 10%, our cities will be able to produce quicker and grow faster. We are lacking in luxuries and this will become very evident very soon. We will also have to lower our Science rate to 20%, slowing our research, but gaining us 1gpt.
We will be able to cut production time on the Great Library by 5 turns. Some cities that are about to grow will remain content. The Domestic Department recommends this change.
We also need to start building a road North. If we find luxuries to the North, there will have to be a way to transport them to Tara. We fear without the increase in the lux ate and new lux's, our people will grow unhappy.
Mr. President, what do you say to moving our sliders a little this T/C? Right now, we're averaging 51% happiness in our cities. Passable, yes. But if we drop our Sci rate to 20%, and raise our Entertainment rate to 20%, we'd be a lot happier nation. Everyone could be put back to work. We'd have Currency in 5 turns, good for our pre-builds. And we'd be losing 5gpt. With our Treasury at 29 gold, -5gpt would still keep us afloat. Then we'd slide back and collect the gold by using the Great Library.
Just a thought. We might need a little extra happiness here real soon.
