    Position: Elder of Equus Aurum

This is the Nomination thread for the office of Elder of Equus Aurum.

The Elder is the ruler of the Equus Aurum. They are in control of that city, including the allocation of citizens, build queues and all other city-specific settings.

To nominate a citizen for Elder of Equus Aurum, including yourself, post the name in this thread or PM Methos. Self-nominations are considered automatically accepted unless indicated otherwise. Citizens may only accept one nomination.

All citizens are encouraged to post questions to the nominees about their plans and qualifications for the office. Nominees are encouraged, but not required, to answer these questions.

The nominations thread will close by 2:00 pm (1900 GMT) on April 25th.

    Good Luck,
    Methos

Do you agree our fair city is the brightest? If so,
Assume the other cities fulfill their duty i.e. build military to protect us, Warlord
doesn't need to make us dire call to arms and Chieftain does not take away
    "our" worker:

    1) We have now 6 pops; where do you put them?

    2) City shall grow or not? If yes, where do you put subsequent pop/s?

    3) Current build finishes in 1 turn; what do you build after? and after?

    4) What do you ask from "our" worker? Which tiles and improvement? First,
    second, and so on.

    5) Do you ask something from Seer?

    6) Do you endorse a religious rebellion now?

    7) Do you endorse a civic rebellion now?

(Obviously all these questions are to the Elder, not the citizen).

    Best regards,

Yes it can be. IT can rival any city except for our capital especially now that it is the holy city of a religion. 2 gold hills, horse and the holy city benefits make this a corner stone of our nations future.

    now your questions

    1) We have now 6 pops; where do you put them?
2 on the gold hills(-4 food), 1 on the horse(-5 food),1 on the farm(-3 food) and 1 on the farmed flood plain(+1 food) the last one is the swing citizen. It will be placed on a two or more food tile if we want growth or on a 1 food tile if we want to stagnate.

    2) City shall grow or not? If yes, where do you put subsequent pop/s?
Depends on health and happiness. Obvioulsy if we grow then we need to improve tiles... in order to use our hills we need more food, therefore i will try to get more food per tile than whats used.

    3) Current build finishes in 1 turn; what do you build after? and after?
monastary and missioniaries...we need to spread our faith.

    4) What do you ask from "our" worker? Which tiles and improvement? First,
    second, and so on.

Farm on the plains near the river..to push food up

    5) Do you ask something from Seer?
    nope not at this time

    6) Do you endorse a religious rebellion now?
I like to wait till after an important tech before i lose a turn. However thsi si not my decision but everyones. I have but one vote adn its no more important than yours
    7) Do you endorse a civic rebellion now?
same answer.. however, I like to wait for 2 or 3 civics to rebel.

(Obviously all these questions are to the Elder, not the citizen).

If they are meant for just me thats not really fair. The citizens running against me also need to answer this otherwise how can you tell if they even know whats on their minds.

The questions are for all candidates.

When I said "...to Elder, not to citizen" was just to mean: your opinion thinking
just about this city and not about the global game.

Religion and civics are global, not single city, matters; but they have an impact in this city; so,Elder studies, opinions and arguments shall surely be
very important and listened (at least I will).

    Best regards,

    cool sorry to misunderstand you.

    Re religion/civics.

of course a religion will help with the builds and happiness so its important. As far as civics..I think we should switch as soon as possible to get the build bonus of religion or additional happiness to help with growth.

in case you havent noticed...I really stress growth in my commerce city.

Ok, firstly, I don't have access to the save file, so everything I propose will be from memory and guessing. A more detailed plan will be posted later.

    1. Work 2 gold mines, horse, floodplains farm, grassland river cottage, grassland farm and grassland cottage.

    2. Of course. Grow until happiness and health limits, whichever is lower. About subsequent population, I have to see the save first.

    3. Also have to view the save first.

    4. farms and mines, maybe a few cottages. Order will be determined later.

    5. A Seer hasn't been appointed yet, so no.

    6. Yes

    7. Yes, before the religious rebellion.

Edit: What do you mean by brightest? In which area (food, production, science, commerce)?
It has excellent commerce and science, as well as good production, once all the hills are mined. It is the brightest hybrid that I have seen.

    Hi

    See attached screenshots.

First one is current state of Equus Aurum, second one is proposed for now (before any worker actions).

Yes, it does reduce production from 9 to 7, but after a farm is built on the other floodplains, I would switch from working the grassland hamlet to the gold mine and work the newly-built farm. This is to prevent the current starvation.

    1. Build troops for the nation. (see attached thumbnails on current speed - before proposed changes)

    2. Monastery, then missionaries for other cities, maybe slip in courthouse later.

    3. Kong Miao when great prophet is born.
