This is the office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

    The officers are:

    Minister of Foreign Affairs: Eyrei
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs: accepting applications...please PM me

Here is the link to the term 6 thread.

The Ministry plans to engage, as always, in isolating our enemies by disrupting their alliances and trade, while at the same time avoiding conflict with many nations at one time.

Please participate in this poll on the renaming of the cities of Quellewasser province. Approval was overwhelming in the first poll last week, but we missed quorum by a vote.

I'd like to be a deputy. Also, we really need to think about if we're ready to declare war on the Iroquois in 6 turns. Otherwise, those trade deals I neglected for the war would be all for nought.

    *Knock-Knock*

Eyrei, I would like to see a Declration of Peace with the babs.
Here are my reasons why. The Iroq are out next target and they are getting close to researching Replaceable Parts. We should Declare war on the Iroq by turn 6 and capture there cities that are in the FP region.

What are our prospects for declaring war on the Iroquois RIGHT NOW? Now that I've got a download, I can work up a plan for deploying CGs continental sweep first thing in the next turn chat. We MIGHT have enough artillery and infantry in reach to take out half their cities in two turns.

I am not sure what this has to do with peace with the Babs. A peace treaty with them gives us very little (as they have/are willing to part with very little), and since we are not suffering from war weariness there is very little reason for peace. It is not as if we have to devote our entire military to keeping their broken nation down. ;)

@Eyrei - I am just conserned about Fanatika fighting in a Two Front war (Or would that be a Three Front war?)

We have 35 cavalry, and all of them (including half of our cannons) are fortified in newly captured cities. There's no rail network connecting the cities, which is why I want a FULL rail network within 6 turns, AND with adequate infantry protection.

With 107 Fanatikan infantry on the board, there is very little the Babs can do to hurt us. If we switch immediately to taking out the Iroquois while they are still using riflemen, we should be able to break them both in about 3 - 4 turns and have both gangs of troublemakers close to extinction in 10.

I think 3-4 turns is TOO optimistic, especially when it'll take two turns for our cav to split and reach the Iroquois cities. Why? Because, we have no rail network connecting our newly conquered cities. Rails and roads are essential for moving troops quicker.

We do not need the Chinese and the Russians to win this war, and also do not need their units wandering across our countryside, why not just let them sit this one out?

But, we also don't need a 3 front war. (From Russia AND China). China and America are the same size, and together, they are about 2/3rds of our size. Pretty potent combo. I should also remind you that China is both annoyed, and has tons of cavalry from the Iroquois wars. Perhaps even more than us, as they are isolated and left to grow. Remember their UU? They had a lot of Riders, too.

On a more civilized note, has anyone ever had a heart to heart with the Civ designers over all their ridiculously over-powered cavalry units? It's like they took their military history courses at a riding school.
