Welcome to the Senate of Fanatika. The primary purpose of this thread is to serve as a central meeting place and discussion board for the governors of Fanatikan provinces. All citizens are welcome to join in discussions. Separate discussion threads will be opened as needed.

    Current Issue - Worker reform

Cyc's worker reforms are progressing through Judicial Review and will soon be at the polls. Good vocal support from the governors will ensure that these can be adopted quickly and with assurity. I ask that when the polls go up, each governor post a link to them in their signatures to spread the word and show solidarity.

    Current Issue - Senate Foreman

Do we need one? Who wants the job? Please discuss...

What would the Foreman do exactly? how would we elect him/her? by direct vote of the governors I suppose?

The Foreman (or Chairman) would be tasked with keeping order in the thread and keeping the other governors participating in Senatorial discussions here. Things like making sure governors post their threads and instructions might also be something the Foreman would encourage.

Yes, the vote would be open and direct by the governors.

I would suport the adoption of the Foreman, anything that can keep provinces from slipping into decay is fine by me.
Governors! let us hear you thoughts on this!!

I will support it. I will even take the job, if no one else wants it. What would happen if a foreman governer would be absent?

Having written the original Earmarking Proposal myself, I wish to extend my full support to CYC and his initiatives. Rhineland is behind you. I too would support the Foreman idea and I second Zarn.

Greetings fellow Governors from the great Southwest Province.

I welcome the notion of a Senate Foreman. I third Zarn and nominate Shaitan for this new and prestigious post.

I agree. A foreman is needed. I fourth Zarn, Second Shaitan and nth Cyc.
Id like it myself, but as you may or may not know, I am handing complete control of my province over to domestic at Midnight, March 16th, to be regained at Midnight, March 25th due to preformances in my High School musial which I am the lead in.

I was thinking, instead of eliminating the distric of Bohemia, why not let the Foreman also be the governor of the Federal Distric? that way, governors have a bit more power to decide who would govern the distric and the Foreman would have some responsabilites.

Thank you for the nominations but I decline the honor. My plate is just about full to overflowing already. I also support Zarn for the job. Cyc is not a governor so is not elligible.

A poll has been posted to rename the North Province city of Riga to "Starke". I ask for the support and participation of my fellow governors to carry this name change.

    Thank you! :)

    Fellow Governors,

There has been some talk of building the Intelligence Agency in Serenity. However, I feel it would be better for all of us if Bremershaven takes advantage of its considerable productive capacity and build the Agency instead.

Currently, Bremershaven is producing (after waste) 52 shields per turn. It has almost every single city improvement necessary. It can continue producing military units, but currently our military units require between 70 and 80 shields to complete, meaning that every two turns, we will be wasting up to 34 shields.

The high production of Bremershaven is ideally suited for larger projects such as the Intelligence Agency, not to mention that it can construct it 5 turns before Serenity could. I petition the Senate to back my proposal for producing this wonder in this thread.

    One more point....

Chieftess and I were just talking in the casino... All of our current projections on build times appear to be based on the Golden Age production numbers. Hence, all production estimates will be considerably off the mark.

A poll has been posted regarding the abolition of the District of Bohemia. If approved this will return the governing of Bavaria to the Legislature.

That is absolutely false. There is a 4 turn difference. Why not let another city share in the glory of wonder building? Are the 4 turns going to kill us? Let the Province who started the CIA first build it!

I think it's an academic question now, Goonie. With the new Red Baron we will be able to get both wonders immediately by switching Kyoto to the Intelligence Agency and rushing Hoover.
