To Ainu: We are allies now. And we are not demons. We are friends of the Ainu. And we have kicked your ass many times, so dont try to betray us. Right now we want you to invade Shimane.

To Imperial Officers: ''Can you please send a list of all battles won by Japan to the Kitano?

I already rule all of Egypt, why would I need you? If you wish for peace surrender Kush to their own chosen destiny.

    to Kush:
Your insults will not get you anywhere. You need to learn your spot in the world.

You seem to have gotten it all wrong. Egypt has no intention of ruling Kush. We intend but to teach you a lesson. A big lesson.

No silly child. As you can see half of your nation is burned fields, a lesson in doom.

All we have learned is that Egyptians are eaters of human flesh who run amok in our nation instead of their own. Doom or not, they will be cursed by the waters of the Nile herself!

The Egyptians will eat human flash, and kill babies, if the gods command them to. It is the duty of the Egyptians to keep the universal order of the gods, and, to teach those who do not know their place.

The Nile is the mightiest goddess of them all, and we will let her purity wash clean of the sins perpetrated by your people, so that you sorry folks downriver can taste the blood of the brood.

We're willing to sell more weapons if you can reopen a port into the Yellow Sea.

The world is a harsh place. There are many enemies all around us, who may strike at any time. Individually, we are weak city-states, at the mercy of the powerful empires around us. We are the only remaining Zirilist nations in the world. We propose a union, or at least an alliance, between us, so we may be better able to face any dangers that await us.

    From: The Commonwealth of Utica
    To: The Republic of Apulia

We request that you not interfere in our resettlement of Zirilia, where our sacred mountain of Ziril and the ruined, ancient city of Toras-Noth stand. We promise not to interfere in the resettlement of Southern Valkyria in return.

We had 10 contending stories, and 6 eligible for the top 3. Who wins?
    1. Lord Iggy of Hyak wrote a strong story about the ending of one of his most trusted subordinates, giving us a new view of a relationship between the High Kings and their servants, while fitting the more orthodox story set by Stockhole on Kitabalist ritual.
    2. Tycho of Vahshallah fit his culture really really well. Although it didn’t earn as many points as Gemhound or Stockhome did on some other categories by getting close to the top three, overall it is a strong, narrative story showcasing Vahshallah’s culture and traditions.
    3. Lokki of the Draka Horde is a short story that should not be overlooked. In a living world such as TerraNES things can change in a single update rather quickly, and this haste can be seen in how they manage their dead. The question of how they do it when they are settled floats in after a few rereatings. And looking at the Faith, burning bodies both fits, and stretches its preconceptions.

Our winners win extra culture, and a higher chance for a cultural center the next few turns!

Our apologies, but at the moment we must respectfully decline. Our northern borders are under threat, and we have no wish to split our forces.

And what would we stand to gain? Alienating nations and stifling prosperity, to what end? We think not.

We see. Sorry, but at this point the answer is a flat no.
