We accept your proposal. We will ferry your troops along the outside banks of the river and form outside of Irud, where we are preparing to cut off their supplies and incite a rebellion. After that, your forces can be mostly detached as you will, but must accept calls for aid from our forces; all loot you gain for yourself is yours, all loot gained cooperatively, you will have 3 shares with the rest having 2.

Thank you for responding, for their armies are now almost upon us!

By the blood of Takarzi, it is done.

OOC: I've got a question from the update.

Is this in reference to the gifts given by Hyak to the Mosereans, or something else?

After days of training, teaching men at arms the Administrator of the League would go to bed with his wife who was often perplexed at his career change. The man she had married had been a professional soldier, of the highest pay in a private Ugarit army paid to keep the northern peace. Now he spent his days escorting around guests from the South and East.

"What is the league anyway?" she would ask him.

With a sad smile he replied, "The League is gossamer and dust, if the league were reduced one iota from what it is the League would be only a fairy tale."

"But," she asked coyly, "Would it have a happy ending?"

With a sigh and a kiss the Administrator replied, "I shall do my best."

Help me. I don't know where I am.
    Listening at the Door

Do you like gold, oh King?
    Who sent you?
That's not something I feel you need to know. Do you like liberty, king?
I don't trust you, you know.
    You don't have to.

The sound of a dagger being drawn. The gurgle of the king as he tries to struggle.
Not advisable, boastful one. My superiors are sick of your pride.
Silence. A peek through a crack in the door. Nod.
I'm going to loosen my grip on your neck.
    Nod.
    Do we have an understanding?
    Nod.
My liege is being generous in allowing you to live. Foolish, in my mind. But I am not one to criticise him.
    I know.
Believe me. You don't. But know this: should you ever return to this place, or to one of my master's cities, you will be killed. Don't be a fool.

    Nod.
And now, I will deal with that fool at your door.
    The doors were thrown open.
The last things the Zhou steward's eye saw; Three men, one holding a bow, one with a blade. The king, whimpering in a corner. And an arrow, heading straight for his heart.

    Nenekatae Empire

Capital: Takete (Confluence of Mississippi and Missouri Rivers)

    Ruler: Rakko (King) Warbird I

Government: The government of Nenekatae is very simple. It is composed of the Rakko (king/emperor) and the Cukofv-Rakko, which is a council made up of one cukovepikv (council member) from each evpofv (province/are equivalent). The Rakko makes the final decisions on all things, but he can designate certain responsibilities to the Cukofv-Rakko. The Rakko is the all-powerful god-like guy.

Society: The current tribes under Nenekatae rule, the Core, are all citizens of the empire. The Rakko is looked upon as chosen by the gods to bring about greatness in the peoples of the river basins.

UU: Hottihiliswa; this is an upgraded version of a warrior. The men of these units have been trained to die or win. No alternative. They are taken from their homes at the age of 1, and surrender is not in their vocabulary. Literally, they are not taught that word, or the word defeat. The mention of the name is said to put fear into the hearts of the Rakko's enemies.

    Desired Stats

    Color: Light Violet

    Religion: Animism

    Age: Early Bronze

Size: Medium (I would like for the nation to be a rough circle with a radius the distance between Takete and where the Mississippi splits into the Ohio.)

    Economy: Dunno, you decide ;)

    Military: 1 Warrior

    Confidence: Tolerating

    Culture: Pathetic

    Projects: Military Academy*

Description: It is only recently that the great War Chief Warbird has managed to unite the various peoples of the upper Mississippi and lower Missouri into one nation, Nenekatae. Nenekatae was not a formal name given to the new nation by Warbird, but instead it was a name given by the peoples that made up the populace. While the full meaning of the word has been lost to history, most archeological finds suggest that it meant "Warpath." Indeed, this title would prove accurate in the coming years, decades, and centuries. . . The tile "Rakko" is also another archaic word lost to history, and no meaning can be found. Some archaeologists suggest that it could be a fragment of the larger word that meant war chief or leader. Indeed, it was the formal title that Warbird bestowed upon the hereditary leadership of Nenekatae.

*The Military Academy is an attempt by Rakko Warbird to make the training of soldiers better. All the tactics known to Nenekatae will be taught to the students here, and as soon as students leave they would be put in command of a group of soldiers.

Warbird stood on the top of his wooden Fortress. As the cool breeze swept over his bare shoulders, he was reminded of that one incident of near death so many years ago. That time when, still a foolish boy, he had tried to stay under water for ten minuted. He had passed out, and if his friend hadn't decided to come along at that very moment and see hi in the water he would have died before he was capable of great things. And he had accomplished great things in his time. Yes, great things. The evidence, after all, was all around him. The great mounds and buildings of the city continued to rise all around him, nestled in the confluence of the great Mississippi and Missouri. He looked out towards the horizon, already wondering what he could conquer in that direction...

OOC: Alright! So, in case you couldn't figure it our Nenekatae is supposed to be a more centralized and earlier Mississippian culture. All of those words are Creek, a language presumably descended from whatever it was the Mississippians used. Anyway, I hope to have lots of fun participating in this game. :D

Just that there's sort of an established culture in all the 'cradles' and all of a sudden there's a civilisation springing up in the Americas, a bit earlier than OTL, but somehow the NES has managed to parallel real life :D

Abhilash sat on the bow of the ship, his legs dangling off the edge. The ship was lost; it had been lost for days, ever since the storm. The storm on the route to the Exaltations, that had killed the rest of the sailors and sent the ship off into the unknown sea.

The stars were out on this cloudless night, in all their great multitudes. Abhilash had never felt soalone and hopeless, t rapped between the sea and the sky.

But in the distance, Abhilash sighted a coast. Land.
