Looking for da man
I just saw on the news that a man described of "Mid-eastern" appearence attemtped to light an explosive he had hidden in his shoe on a flight from Paris to Miami!

The details are sketchy, but it seems the stewardess smelled the sulfer from a match, saw the man attempting to light something, and began grappling with him! (He bit her, the tough guy that he was. He was said to be at least 6'4, the girl was about 5'5 :) )

With the help of other passengers, the man was subdued, and three doctors flying aboard the plane were able to sedate the terrorist using first aid supplies aboard the plane.

It was said the man was going by the name "Reed", had a British passport obtained in brussels last month, and carried no luggage.

They have this loser in custody, and i look foward to his conviction, and hopefully, his execution.

At least this one was stopped in time.

We're have you been i think the report came at like 7 or 8 pm :)
I hope we fry that ****er:mad:

I was out shopping with my wife, Sun.

I don't see a thread about this here, nontheless.

Besides mine, I mean. ;)

Here, here. :goodjob: Now let's really see something burn.

No, we can't kill the man. It's not right......

It's not right to kill the man without PUTTING THE FEAR OF GOD INTO HIM FIRST!!!!!!

God I knew not a thing!!  Thank God those passengers got him in time...

I have to say, congratulations to the passengers. Letting the terrorists just walk over them with box cutters last time was pathetic, i hate to say it.

Nah, we should just tatoo American Flags onto the inside of his eyelids.

Those people aboard the flight done the right thing!

I hope he was "subdued" with multiple broken bones...

These terrorists must be living on another planet...

If they think they can just go and do another 11/9/01 in Europe or USA these fools are sorely mistaken...

You have to remember tat they didn't know what was going to happen...
Its worrying that he got on the plane but very good that he was stopped!

They interviewed one of the 6 passangers that stopped the guy and the "terrorist" was 5'10....not 6'4. Very sketchy details indeed....

I'm not putting down the feat.....it was still amazing.....you do know this is the stuff America craves now.....they want this kind of stuff to happen to get a moral boost! And it's a very good one too! Everyone wants a piece of the action.....very nice indeed.

Anywho...on another note. If I was trying to destroy an Airplane, I would plant the device in the bathroom......it would probably blow out one side of the plane....and then no one would know what hit them. Plus no fiddling with matches in the cabin. ;). But I'd never do something like that. I care about my fellow man too much.

All emotion aside, the man is entitled to due process. Let's not concentrate so hard on fighting monsters, that we become monsters ourselves.

That said, the weight of evidence will doubtless be overwhelming. Still, it has to be weighed.

They may be sadistic rulers and masochistic peasants, but man the Chinese know how to word a curse...

But remember, before 9/11, it was probably thought if you were on a plane being hijacked, you shouldn't interfere with the hijackers becaue it might endanger the lives of passengers who wouldn't have been killed otherwise.
They made a demand, you landed where ever they wanted to land, and you were fine. But that's different now.

Corn put quotations around terrorist because i guess he doesn't think that guys a terrorist or corn's a ****ing moron.
Sorry corn, harsh words in a harsh world i suppose.
If your gonna side with terrorist now-a-days you are a ****ing moron.:o

It doen't metter. Hopefully he'll soon be shorter. A head shorter :D

This shows you the imnportancy of the public in protecting themselves from terrorists. We had this sort of things in Israel, although in smaller scales. Like that woman that worned a policeman about a suspicious man. The officer approached him, made him punic and so the terrorist blew himself up. Even the cup wasn't killed. The only unrepairable damage was a moral one, to the daughter of the french embassador - the terrorist's head fell in her kinder garden, just infront of her. Scary.

Anyway that's why people should always be ready. Especially in these days.

You can't just condem someone as a terrorist, he might be mentally ill for crying out loud!!!!! I am quite appaled to see people baying for his blood at such an early stage:(

he's of middle eastern origin and tried to blow up a plane....therefore he's a terrorist ;)

Oh...well SunTzu your a $#%#% @#% *** #$ #% #$#$%^&% @#$@#$ then. :p

And guess who I blame for my harsh words??? Everything else but me.

Convient excuse, far overused. People can't accept the blame for anything anymore....it's sad.

Anyway....the reason I put "terrorist" in quotes because we have no idea if he belongs to the "terrorists" of 9/11. I heard he was a French guy....and that's why I did it. He's just a hijacker that tried to light an explosive in his shoe on an airplane....actually....he wasn't even a hijacker.....as far as I know....he didn't make any demands or anything. He was "subduded" by parinoid passagers before anything could have been done. Although no one knew he had a bomb (unless he said "I have a bomb..." but I wasn't there....so I'll assume he didn't say that.) The flight attendant attacked him because she smelled? sulfur....and a match. People helped her because a man was beating on a woman. Thus the guy was tied up and the plane landed. Now....unless he said "I have a bomb" no one could have known that he had a bomb...and thus why I called the passangers "parinoid". They were jumping to the defence of a flight attendant, not subduing a terriost. Both are still noble acts. But you can't call these people heroes............because they aren't.
