Text- Font Color and Size

Is there a way to change the text that pops up in the uper left part of your screen? That text that tells you whats going on, like if a religion has been founded or a forest has grown around your city. I dont have the greatest eye site and would like to make the text stand out more.

If you look at the "event log" (the little open book icon above where those messages appear) the text is a lot easier to read, and it doesn't disappear after 10 seconds, either.
