After approx two hours of game play, with no issues, the in game text on menus and UI started to scramble becoming unreadable and with odd characters. After one or two turns with this error, the sound cut off, then 30 seconds later the game froze and I had to ctrl+alt+del to close it.
Upon restarting the game, the start menu text is showing the same errors, which gets worse as I click around. The game then cuts off sound again and crashes.
I have not been able to find and fix online to this issue, though a few other people did report having it. I've attached screenshots of the issue bellow.
Things I've tried:
Uninstalling game, all mods and temp/save files, reinstalling. This fixed it once for about an hour, but then the error reappeared. I've tried this about 4 times with no effect.
Making sure drivers are up to date.
Verifying game files though steam.
