All in all it was a silly decade and I shan't miss it.
GG next map.
One good thing is that at least the new decade will be the twenties. Instead of the zeros or the tens, which both sound lame.
I like the idea of another "roaring twenties". Let's make it happen. This time without the spanish flu.
Hopefully without the racism and sexism and other bad things too.
On second thought let us not roar after all.
But with the dresses and hairstyles.
It'd actually be really annoying as I'd have missed one entirely and be a little old during the New Roaring Twenties.
We can cream instead.
Well I do have the flat physique for those flapper dresses. And what's not to like about head bands. Ok it's back on.
You'd better post the evidence once you get one.
What do you mean once?
Okay, post it twice as soon as you get a flapper dress.
..three times a ladyyyyyy!
I expected the 2010s to go poorly, although not this poorly.
That's not good.
With a can-do attitude, it's always possible to scrape down to a new low.
I mean I guess it depends on what you wanted to get out of this decade. I'm living a comfortable life, but I wanted to see the world move on in a bit. The recession happened and everything seemed to fall into malaise. Prices rose, and never really fell. Wealth was hoarded; projects were cancelled, big ideas never really came to be.
But there were a lot of small advancements, too, even looking at this forum in 2010 would feel like something out of another world or at least disconnected. LGBTQ and Women's rights have stabilised their holdings. Smartphones really took off in 2011+, despite being four years old by then. And a billion more little things I pave over as I mope that SLS never got off the ground.
And now we can roaring twenties again, though do expect another recession early on, if not by this December. The sooner the better to get it over with. Time to art deco it up.
Within the next 10-20 years, what we consider society is going to change beyond all recognition.
The technologies on the way are set to make life utterly different from anything before.
I am interested to see how the billions of unemployed will find meaning to existence, and if
many will choose to opt out using personal computer-mind interfaces to surf the web forever.
We will see the roots of this perhaps in the next decade. It's exciting.
The major part of this decade was horrible , only now at the end I am trying to emerge from the ashes . Years 18 and 19 were quite allright though.
