The 25 Worst Tech Products of All Time

@Chris85: May your computer one day find the peace it deserves. :shake:

I don't use it, but like, I bet the computers at the local library use it, my school does (they are still using Win98 except for the office and Journalism room which have XP, actualy, a few of the teacher's computers in their classrooms are still 95), they don't know anybetter.

And they would find some excuse like "We don't want to pay the tech guy to install a new browser". I'd offer to do it for FREE!

Ok then, you are excused. And removed from my previous post. :D

My computer is 6 1/2 years old and runs on Windows 98 SE, it will be at peace soon enough.
Mine is 7 years old and it's still kicking on XP. :p
Well... maybe not kicking ... crawling ? no ... screaming in agony ? yes. :D

Oh yes, Windows ME was pure evil.

I've never had issues with the AOL software, their tech support however IS the pits. I stay with them partly due to having some good e-mail names and cos changing is a pain in the arse.

Zip Drive 250mb was a bad idea for me... every one else at the time just had 100mb Zip drives... Zip 250 just felt like a white elephant.

In highschool my CompSci teacher depended on zip disks to cart all of the class' projects and grades. One day during open lab she's grading projects and then we hear this clicking noise coming from the teacher's station...and then a long list of words that if I posted them would probably get me a ban.

AOL still has 20+ million subscribers. The list sucks, if anything should be on first place it is Windows ME and IE6.

Thats because it's such a pain to unsubscribe. It took us two months to get them to stop billing us.

Even deleting the fiels on your hard drive is a pain. AOL 8.0 is on my comp, unused, unopened, dorment, like stinking virus in a container. I tried uninstalling it, the uninstaller crashed. I tried deleting it, the computer froze. I am going to see if I can lock it.

EDIT: Or maybe I did delete it. I can't find it.

Maybe you made it invisible to forget about it. :)
