Nothing beats the original.
Vanilla or Cherry.
Seriously? I can't really justify a road trip to Juarez just for coke, but damned if it isn't tempting.
The one and only, Classic.
I'm not much of a soda drinker...but Coke Lime was so yummy.
Can you imagine the interview with the Customs people? "Yes, it's a pleasure trip; we're just hopping across the border to get some Coke."
I love classic, but every now and again I knock back a cherry coke.
Once you go Blak, you never go back.
Think that would fly as an advertisement campaign?
Isn't this a duplicate thread?
Also..."Orange" Coke??? I've never heard of that.
Yeah. The cane sugar original is better tasting.
I don't know about Mexican food laws, but they do still use cane sugar to bottle Coke in Mexico. I assumed it was because they are closer to sugar-producing regions. Considering the things I saw people eating & drinking in Nuevo Laredo, I doubt even raw sewage is illegal as an ingredient in Mexico... Or maybe I should say there aren't many laws in Mexico that a $5 bribe can't get you out of breaking.
VRWCAgent, I'm pretty sure you are remembering the cane-sugar sweetened Coke in glass bottles. Americans under 30 have no clue what they are missing. You can still get the real Coke though:
1. Check out the Hispanic food section when you're in a grocery store. There are several stores in the Kansas City area that carry Coke impotred from Mexico. It's cane-sugar sweetened & comes in real glass bottles.
2. Or you could take a trip to Hawaii. I don't think they use glass bottles there anymore, but I know they bottle Coke with cane sugar.
3. In the U.S., they do a limited run of cane sugar-sweetened Coke right before the Jewish holiday of Passover. This is because of the Jewish dietary laws during that holiday. They only bottle it in 2-liters, only grocery stores with a Jewish customer demographic carry it & it usually sells out fast. There are 3 or 4 stores in the Kansas City area that carry it-more in St. Louis, but it's only available right before Passover & it's sold out in the blink of an eye.
Nothing would help that product sell. It was a BIG flop. Coke was trying to capitalize on the energy drink craze, but nobody wanted coffee-flavored Coke. They do have an energy drink called Rockstar that sells very well.
BIG flop, haha
QFT. Diet ftw.
And on subsequent trips, I could point out to my traveling companions where my teeth are embedded in the asphalt after the cops dragged me out of the car and slammed me onto the pavement!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! I don't like to travel to 'the city' very often, but on occasion it is necessary. I'll do a bit of research before the next time I have to go.
Vanilla is discontinued in the UK, I believe. It's only found in those Polski Skleps where their stock was first imported in 1997.
That sucks, man. I feel your pain.
Classic Coke in glass bottles.
I'm quite sure that European Coke is with cane sugar.
I don't really drink Coke, but when I do its usually caffiene-free diet. (I'm more of a Pepsi person.) The doctor said to have diet cola. And the caffiene-free is because I don't know how much it reacts with my medications.
I vote caffiene free.
High-grade Colombian, in the champagne room.
You mean the drink. Well, PUT SOME WHISKEY IN IT.
Classic is best, but I usually go with Zero.
