The bug is killing me -.-

I have the 144 version of Civ 5 so i wanted to install the 279 version. I downloaded the patch,installed it,put it in the Programfilesx86,R.g Mechanics,Civ 5 folder but get the "Unable to load texture [Loadingbasegame.dds] " I tried all the solutions that i could fin on the internet but it´s not working. In Assets/terrain folder is only an ICE Folder and nothing else when i install the patch. Can someone please help ? :/

The game is not intended to be patched manually. It is only patched automatically through Steam (or the AppStore for the Mac AppStore version). Go to your Steam library, right click on Civ 5, choose properties, local files, and verify integrity of game cache -- Steam will scan your installed files and automatically download any updates.

If you are trying to install a pirated patch, sorry, but you can't get any assistance here -- this site has a zero-tolerance policy regarding piracy.
