The one that plays when his mug shows up on your diplomacy screen.
Basically, I love it.
Does anyone know that tune? i.e. the name, and whether it is some sort of actual Byzantinian music?

Thanks.

Hi... music major here, I just wanted you to know that so you didn't think I was full of it. I recognize it as standard Byzantium Chant of the Justinian's reign. It is pretty much quasi-Gregorian Chant music... so you could just pull up Gregorian chant and listen to that. Hope that was helpful.vv:goodjob:

Welcome to the forums Zubbus and Jon the Bastard

Well, there's Justinian I's Theme and other BTS music on YouTube. Several appear complete.

And anyone interested in Byzantine style music might try Greek Orthodox music (also on YouTube).

For Gregorian-style chants, there is an album called "Chant". It was recorded by some monks in a European monastary about 15 years ago, and became a shocking international hit.

Aww no. The link version is slow and has some weird chanting (no kidding then) that really isn't what I liked it for. It's the Civ4 version that has got that pace and energy in it, like some of these Russian and Spanish/Latin dance music I like.

I tried googling Gregorian chant too, but there were loads of sites that promise tracks, but I couldn't even find any links to tracks on them. Ah well.

But thanks for all the info.
