You can post video games music you like here.

Yesterday i discovered the OST of an indie game titled "Risk of Rain"..

It was created by a fellow Greek. And it actually sounds pretty damn good, as a prog metal soundtrack, with the charming midi-like computer game soundtrack of old connotation as well (and notation :\).

My favorite track of it is termed "Monsoon":

Since threads like this crop up every couple of years I won't go into the usual suspects lie Deus Ex. One of my favourite current soundtracks is from Beyond earth. The game turned out mediocre, but the music borders on awesome (really awesome, not like a hot dog).

I also like the music in the Witcher 3. Slavic culture is really underrepresented in Western media, but I can't find single tracks on youtube. Only hour long vids with the whole thing.

How did I not embed The Witcher 3 ?
It has some of the best music I've heard in a game.

Velen combat music (apparently based on a bulgarian wedding song).

The Ladies of the Woods theme. Haunting and excessively creepy when you hear it in the game. A perfect match for the beings it's associated with.

And of course Priscilla's song.

The original Two Worlds had a surprisingly decent soundtrack.
It wasn't your traditional fantasy soundtrack, and had a nice modern, lively vibe to it.

I'm a great fan of the original Age of Wonders soundtrack, but the track I can definitely fall asleep to is:

This game had the best music on the ATARI800XL, IMO. A bit oldschool, but I will never forget this chip tune. I played this game often in West Germany on my very first computer.

at about 42 seconds in the game "really" starts and the song gets more intense as well. Other game sounds muted in this video, you can only hear the song.

Music on video games have become part of the art, and our love for the entertainment, and how well have they been orchestrated during the years of it's birth. As video games grown more and more popular, became an culture in itself, and now recognized as an art itself. It became something very strong that will last for years, and nobody can suppress it... many people tried but end up failing (like Jack Thompson).

During my years of gaming, I fell in love with most of the OST's from many video games that came from the East, and how unique they are when it comes down to changing the way we hear things. This is also one of the reasons why I loved so RPG games, is because those composers actually put down a unique soundtrack for them. When I listen to the breath of Fire 4 soundtrack, I love the chants in most of the background in the songs, it gives that haunting feel of the song... Shadow Hearts use it very well in some of their songs, it's very remarkable.

Edit: since youtube is being a jerk and erroring every freakin video I post, I put the link down below it... take that youtube!
