What's your point, remake? Of COURSE we'd rather win than the Council. Still, if *we* can't win, we'd rather have the Council win than SABER.

Do you guys think the UN gambit would work? It might be worth a try at this point - I'm pretty sure the Council would vote for us over SABER.

NVM, and now I think the only way to win is to get UN. I think we have a good chance to win when the UN is completed. Where is it being built exactly and when is it due to be completed?

I debated about discussing the UN with The Council. How many civs have to be in place for a UN win?

I think Babe would vote for us, but they might just be contrary.

I forgot Babe was still in. I think we need to send them a letter asking if they would give us a UN vote.

I think we need 3 votes to win (or two votes an an abstention -- you CAN abstain from the UN vote, right?). 2/2 would deadlock it.

But do we need 3 or 4 nations in existence to vote?

Assume we build the UN and the vote is we get two votes; for some reason Babe does not vote for us. We then retake Woodstock and The Council grabs the Babe Settler. Now we have 3 civs.

Can we still have a UN vote?

I thought I read something, somewhere, about a minimum number of civs required for a UN vote, but I've forgotten the number. And now it is bugging me...

I think the danger would be the Council voting for SABER (though Whomp might vote for them just to spite us for keeping him in the game, hitting 'end turn' for so many months!).

I think that if we need 3 votes regardless of absentations. Does anyone want to do a test?

Also, The Council/BABE might vote for us just to end this game and declare a winner.

I think we need to somehow get COUNCIL and BABE to hate SABER and vote for us. EDIT: Actually IIRC, there are 3 candidates for UN victory.

If we really want to end the game (not win, but just end), it would be easier to get The Council to agree with us and we both vote for Babe than convincing the two of them to vote for us. That way, us and The Council decide who wins the game.

BABE would love it if they won. Except the UN takes the top three people, and you couldn't vote for BABE.

SABER probably was pre-building shields for nukes, so expect to get hit soon. If we do nuke what are our targets?

Will a nuke kill ALL units on a tile?
