An enemy warrior captured a worker right next to my capitol Delhi, and the worker disappeared. I was wondering if this is a new change or something that happens sometimes. The message I got only said it was captured, so I don't think it was killed (Can workers even be killed?). Is it a new functionality that captured workers return to the enemy city of that who captured it?

Captured workers become the property of their captor's city (Or barb camp) if you kill the captor before he reaches home or capture his city or barb camp you'll get your worker back.

But do they teleport to the city/camp now is what I'm wondering. My worker got taken by a warrior, and I instantly killed the warrior but my worker had vanished.

When at war with another Civ, a lot of my workers and settlers tend to be killed rather than captured, and vice versa. It has been incredibly frustrating when it is a war of *ahem* colonisation on another continent.
