Today the first pro-forma hearing in the case of the of the 3 homosexual men that lured people from the internet, drugged them, raped them and injected them with their HIV infected blood began, the "true" trial should only begin in November because the investigation is still ongoing.

Of the 14 men that have come forward and admitted that they had been victims of the gang 12 have contracted HIV, the police is still looking for more victims that might be afraid to come forward (ashamed/Closeted gays etc.) so that they can be tested for the HIV virus.

The two masterminds of the "gang" are a gay couple, they wanted to infect as many people as possible with HIV so that they could have more people to have unprotected sex with, which they considered to be more "Pure". A third person, a male nurse, is believed to have at least assisted with its expertise but claims to have had no active part in the rapes, the police is still gathering evidence on a fourth person who is believed to at least have supplied the drugs that were used to disable the victims (GHB aka "the Date-Rape Drug" and XTC)

What sentences do you believe they deserve?

EDIT: Links of two articles about their arrests in May

Something that involes plucking of nose hair and execution.

Death by hanging, it you take someone else's life, you are going to repay with your own

Anything that involves some things beyond painful is appropriate for them.

BTW, do you have a link to any article about this? Not that I don't believe you, but I'm actually interested in this as I met many people from the Internet in real life and I don't want such a surprise...

Well that's just lovely.

I cant find anything about the trial that began today (i saw it on TV), here are some of the original news articles of the arrests in late May early June

Edit: i added them to the OP

See now its those things that really deserve cruel and harsh punishment. Slow and painful.

The Dutch public prosecutor has charged the men with premeditated grievous bodily harm, but said it could not charge them with attempted murder or manslaughter because "the life expectancy of the victims can be extended with medication." The offense carries a maximum penalty of 16 years in prison.

Extended, yes. But it is still a death sentence. In 15 years, when one of the men has died, I hope he can be recharged.

This sounds like something you read about in snopes.com as "debunked". It sounds too insane.

So either you think having a legal system is a good thing, and you go along with the sentences applicable within that legal system (like, you know, prison sentences), or you think you'd rather go back to vigilante justice and pitchforks, but you accept having your car torched because you cut your neighbor on the road, but I'm really tired of that "I'm proving I'm a good guy by wanting to kill bad guys in the worst possible ways" trend.

It's barbaric, and you're actually lowering yourselves to the level of the guys in the OP by coming up with medieval ways of killing them.
It's not justice either.

Why is revenge always bad? Some people do things so evil that revenge is a good course.
