I like Justinian for many reasons:
-His diplomacy music
-His history, he was a pretty amazing yet mysterious emperor, since we don't know whether Procopius ultimately liked him or hated his guts.
-He looks cool! And thoughtful!
-He's got a fancy crown
-People say he looks like me 'an eerie resemblance'. Odd, since my name is Justin, too.
-He's awesome to play as in Civ. I don't think he has weak traits at all actually: the Imperialistic helps him grab land space nice and early, the Cataphract allows him to crush anyone he wants, even if you're not a military player by nature, and Spiritual is nice (though, due to the Cristo Redentor, perhaps not as necessary/cool/useful in BtS).

No. I wanted a Justinian avatar of my own, so I made one. Then it looked like DK just copied mine and resized it, so I wondered if he -ahem- BORROWED it.

At any rate, since this is a "stock" Civ 4 avatar, many people will be using it.

What would a Transparent Background for an avatar look like/involve?

I simply paint everything I want transparent a color, and then I go into another program and tell it to make that color transparent and save it as a .gif and I'm done! Look at mine for example.
