The amusing part is that if you say anything about freedom to the average Kiwi one will get a blank look.
Our politicians might bring up a fair go for all but freedom is taken for granted ,

They are quantum random number generators, the only known way of reliably gather even theoretically unpredictable numbers. The usual claim is that monarchies are unjust, not that they impinge on individual freedom. So that doesn't really seem relevant.

Which is weird, as there are quite a few freedom-limiting laws, still.
Insulting the monarch, God or the church can theoretically land you in jail (although the laws haven't been enforced since WW2 or so). I'd call that freedom-limiting.
