Hey, why let school get in the way of stuff that really matters? Games should always be your top priority.
Isn't Zero Mission a remake of the original Metroid? I'm not sure that it would really be worth getting, since I have the original. Even more so since I'm not a very big fan of Metroid anyway. Although I wouldn't mind such a remake for the first Zelda. Perhaps they could add Navi to the new rendition!

I guess it's technically a remake since it uses the same storyline and several parts are exactly the same as before (like the famous starting position) but a lot has been changed. About 25% of the game is after the killing of the mother brain, which is definately new. There's a map, and you can shoot while hanging off ledges. The save room feature is there, and a ton of new powerups. Graphics have been definately revamped, and Kraid is huge. I think if you link to Fusion you might be able to unlock the original metroid. So it's still a remake, but it still provides a very rewarding experience for those who loved the original. That's my take on it anyway.
