Money is the answer to everything. With money, we can buy access to research, buy new troops to protect our money (and citizens), and buy new buildings to make more money! And who says "Money doesn't buy happiness." Of course it does, if our citizens are ever sad upset or lonely we can make the happy again by pumping more money into entertainment. And this is in addition to any churches, synagouges and mosques we can buy with our money.
Understandably everyone else wants money too. And all too often they want OUR money. So thus, we must use force to protect our money. For instance, what if our main overseas trading partner was suddenly attacked by an evil communist civilization. After they take over, seeing our succesful capitalistic ways, what do you think they will do? Put an embargo on us of course! That would be a huge blow to our economy! We must not let that happen! Therefore the Gold Miner's Guild strongly supports sending troops overseas to protect our allies and trading partners.
In addition, if it comes to our attention that a large amount of gold is being horded by an evil communist country, we must take steps to "liberate" the gold. Weather it is by showing them the glory of capitalism (cultural) or showing them how great an army a capitalist country can sustain (war).
And if it comes to our attention that a civilization is mishandling money, we must use this to our advantage and boost our economy by trading them some useless technological advance or some equally useless incense.
But most of all, we must take steps that our glorious capitalist empire does not fall into the hands of evil communists. This would sound a death blow to our glorious caplistic way of life. If this happens, we must escape the country, and flee to a capitlaist country to protect our wealth and way of life.
