So Carl is Hungary and Ed is Canada? I just tuned in

    Edit:
    Ah, vice versa.

those are levied units. Free to upgrade - nor iron or gold needed.

So if Ed is going all-in, the game should be over in 10 minutes, right? Ed should not forget to denounce.

Pete Murray kind of announced more content in the future as long as there is interest in it.

They basically just said they'll keep supporting the game as long as it sells right?

Ed + Barbarians vs. Carl. Nice.

I fear Carl is to some extent saved by online speed though. He can not buy a lot of units, and with slower speeds, he wouldn't be able to produce a lot of archer in the right time.

Good. Although Civ is relatively niche, so I don't know what would qualify as "enough interest", but count me in :)

why did he not raze Halifax when he will lose all troops in two turns? I mean, Ed has some money, but is it enough to levy troops again?

he levied them too early anyway. they waited around for many turns. but this tactic simply shows that in multiplayer hungary will be banned every time.

Also we can see if those units will return back or keep the fight within the borders of Carl

So, can they nerf Hungary before release? Seriously way too OP in a rush like this. Ed just has to save up his gold for a few turns to re-levy them

And by contrast - this game will act as an example that Hungary is balanced because you can run out of levy turns before doing anything:mischief: (pls no, this is a terrible logic)

Yeah Hungary is super strong. This already looks like its pretty much over

Also loved that Pete basically said they will keep supporting the game. Hype!

Maybe the Hungary ability could be changed so that they get all the Levied Troop bonuses after researching mercenaries?

If the City State followed Ed into war with Carl, having the units flip back to being controlled by their City State may not have much impact. I guess they lose the bonus stats they get as being levied Hungarian units. City States are pretty aggressive on the attack, though, and even without the bonus, they're now Swordsmen facing Warriors/Archers.

Ed's newly discovered strategy this weekend was simply watching the Marbozir "actually insane" Hungary game
