Just like the thread juxtaposition thread, but then for tags.

Even though the actual usefulness of tags in OT might be rather limited, they do provide lots of comic relief. Post tags that made you chuckle or laugh out loud here.

Some tags I love in the current Iran threads: ah-mah-dinner-jacket, i-a-told-you-so, iran and i lost

Also, I remember a thread where the mods posted about abusing the tag feature, and someone posted "tempting fate", that was rather good as well. :)

I don't like the tags so much, as all of them are just used to provoke me... (by the way, if there are any tagged in this thread, i'm reporting, i'm sick of them)

For me the funniest so far was 'Tempting Fate'.

This can quickly devolve into PDMA.

I oppose the whole tags system. It leads to snide insults, trolling, etc... and rarely anything funny. Though I dunno if you can tag a recently closed thread, was funny to have a ninja-blocked post, the equivalent of an xpost except the xpost was the closing of the thread ;)

Someone's a fan of my "I tagged yo momma" (that I originally put on the "yo momma jokes" thread) tag I see. :)

The most useless tag is "USA #1". In most threads it is just spam..

:cry::cry:

Anyhoo, the funniest one to me was probably one that didn't actually exist! I thought I read the hanging chads tag as changing hads in the Iran thread and for some reason this was the funniest thing in the world. Then I realized it was actually spelled correctly...:(

I did like the "im stalking lucy" and "lucy is stalking me" tags, at least until the mods asked me to stop and they specifically forbid user specific tags. :(

"now i'm in the closet too" is pretty good, but it gets better with background.

"This thread already has the maximum number of tags"?!??!????

Lame!

I'd love to see this thread have many dozens of tags.

While some tags are spammy & trolly (not to be confused with trolley :D) it seems to me like for the most part most tags are good natured & fun & a good way for people to express themselves about the overall feel of a thread without having to come on & say it in a post in the thread. Overall I think the tag experiment has proven successful. :) I think the max should be increased.

Hmm, "god hates tags" is amusing. :D "------<tag>------" is just annoying.

That may even be better than my "don't tag me, bro!" tag.

Edit: Actually, I just remembered it wouldn't let me punctuate it like that. Why must commas split a tag in two (or more, theoretically, but since we are limited to 2 per poster it won't let you post with multiple commas)?

"problems with oral" in one of the Random Rants threads.

I remember my "hell freezes over" amusing someone in the Sydney getting freezing weather thread. Really makes it worth thinking up of good tags.

Yeah, 20 isn't enough for some threads. We need, more like, 50 per thread.

I love them. I like the hit-and-run spammy graffiti quality. I don't think "usa #1" is trolling, I think it's usually sarcasm. I enjoy the "things republicans..." permutations, as well as "bad ... no donut". The puns are just delightful. There have been some awesome plays of "you forgot poland" and "child endangerment".
