I will do the first part of the TGW division-version.

Now and then I will deliver reports on how
long work have come.

I Armee, von Kluck, and II Armee von Bulow,
have been placed.

Inspired by an idea from CellKu the units have been
named.

To save time, I will probably only do this for Germanys
units in the first version.

However with 50% of the ground units to deal with
compared to standard TGW I predict that TGW-D (division)
will be at least as popular as TGW, and then in later
versions also other nations units will be named.

BTW: This version use the Active, Reserve an Third line
division system.

TGW - division version

3 German armies have been placed.

In addition the Army of Belgium have been placed:
6 Infantry divisions +1 Cavalry division.

1 turn now = 2 weeks

Germany declared war on Belgium August 4 1914.
Thus if most of Belgium should be captured after 2
turns that is not unrealistic.

2 turns = End of August.
After the fall of Liege August 16 most of the Army of Belgium
retreated and only controlled the area of Antwerp.

What do you think about give one plane to Belgium because the Belgian Air Force had one squadron of 12 aircraft.

Let me be a little bit

i dont know... mabye just 1, but then we would need air force stats...

By 1914 the Royal Flying Corps (RFC) had 110 aircraft (BE-2, Farman MF-7, Avro 504, Vickers FB5, Bristol Scout, F.E.2) and 6 airships.

The French Army Air Service (Aéronautique Militaire) was formed in October 1910. France led the world in early aircraft design and by mid-1912 they had five squadrons (escadrilles). This had grown to 132 machines (21 escadrilles) by 1914.

The Russian Army Air Service (RAAS) was established in 1912 and two years later owned 360 aircraft and 16 airships. This made the RAAS the largest airforce in the world.

No information about Italy.

By 1917 the US Army Air Service possessed 1,185 serving personnel and 260 planes.

In 1914 Germany had 246 aircraft and 11 airships.

in 1914 the Austro-Hungarian Air Service only had 35 aircraft and one airship

Is that good enough?

TGW-report (division-level)

4 German armies have been placed.

These nations have been "converted":
Sweden, Norway, Denmark, The Netherlands, Belgium,
Switzerland, Spain and Portugal.

Grrr. Something wrong with the download. I get "connection refused from civfanatics.net".

Anyone know what's up? I can still use the civfanatics webpage.

Edit: oh. must be something with the .net thing because .com works fine,

Uhm... I sifted through the first 400 posts as well as trying to use the search engine on this load error, so take it easy on me if it has been covered, eh?

When I load up this mod everything is kosher until I get this error message:

Load Error: Error reading File
missing entry in "text\pediaIcons.txt":Animname_PRTO_Light

followed instructions to install the mod pack, but that was what I got when I tried to load up. Any ideas?

Thanks.

TheBozz,

Are you sure that you have both the TGW-folder and
the biq-file located in the folder Scenarios.

The error-report indicates that so is not the case.

CellKu

CellKu,

Yes, 7 out 9 German armies have been placed.
All divisions have been named and you can see
which army they belong to.

The armies of Germany and France will be named
this way.

Armies of other nations will be named in later versions.

Best Regards
