    1 N of Horse is Memel/Klajpeda. You probably mean 2 N of Horse and/or 1 W of cow.

Really damn now I need to check my save and make a screenshot of the spot.

    Edit:
    Spoiler :

This Riga. The 1 N of the horses would get the cow but it wouldn't be riverside so no levees or health bonus that's y I prefer Riga

    What Riga?

There is only 1 good Riga and that is 2 north of horse and 1 W of cow and 1 E of fish. It's a riverside.

Lol I confused you. You were talking about the city spot 1 north of the horses and I was explaining y I prefer Riga over that site. Sorry about that. The Riga I'm voting for is the one in my screenshot.

Most bonus resources (with late tech reveals) = (11) Lyon (1SW of the Stone)

Biggest population (due to bonus food resources) = Chicago between the corns

Most production = Denver on the Oil

Best overall location: 1N of Bona Mansio (flip to Frankfurt) spawn.

I am planning to update later today, but I just wanted to note that I find it humorous that none of these awesome cities are on the coast.

Coastal cities are vulnerable to hurricanes and tyfoons anyway...

Here are the updates, but I have few question: How is Rome so much better than Arretium (1N)? I have been counting the majority of Chicago's as the production one, is this right to assume? And as a repeat question, how can Denver be so amazing with 3 mountains and 2 deserts? How can Constantinople be so amazing without a river, and a mountain instead? And remember when everyone was bashing the non-coastal cities as horrible in comparison? ...lol

Maybe they mean Constantinople 1 W? Which is on a river with almost the same food.

Coast is overrated. Yes, you get nominally more food and commerce initially, but it's fixed--no tech will make coast commerce or food grow, unlike land tiles.

Instead of Riga, I always found Tallinn (more land tiles which have rivers).

And who needs commerce when you can convert production into 100% gold? Denver is a country unto itself. (in generic BTS that's different, because you can only convert 50%, so things like custom houses and lighthouses are much more valuable)

Would be cool to be able to build kelp farms in the future era, like in SMAC.

Awesome strategic position and lots of food.

Because it's Rome. And river is also nice. :)
