Vandal sat at his desk with his fingers folded at his lap. Then Vandal pulled out a map from one of the cupoards, and rolled it out before him. He looked over it for a moments and then picked up a quill from the desk and dipped it in some ink. He took the quill and drew the new boundries of the Republic of Kassite. Then from the corner of his eye he saw an assassin approach Vandal with a daggar. Vandal shot up, whipped one of his many blades, and killed the man in a split seccond. The Black Guard came through the door way, on que, and took the corpse away. From the doorway also came General Rohm of Kassite, the man who led Vandal's renforcements.

"General." Vandal began. Then the General Bowed and walked over to the desk.

"Sir, my men are ready for Battle. Where is the next Target." The General said in his deep, burly Voice. Vandal starred at him for a moment and then gestured to the map before them.

"The city of Mari, is your next Target." Vandal said toying with the assassin's daggar.

The General looked supprised and said, "Mari, why there?"

"Because," Vanal said abruptly and sternly, "Mari will stopp all troops from the Seccond Babylonian War, from getting home. Bringing population growth to a halt. Now, bring in General Ionsaigh!" And the General bowed and left.

    A few moments later General Ionsaigh, a tall, red haired man with very broad sholders wlked through the doorway. He Bowed before Vandal and spoke;

    "Yes, Doge."
Vandal grinned and stood, and whipped out a sword. The General took a knee. Vandal knighted the man and said, "I hereby dubb you, Supreme Commander of the Army, the High-General. Now, I want you and your forces and Attack the Holy City of Madrid." The General nodded and left. High-General Ionsaigh, was a fellow Gallow Pagan, so Vandal expected that Ionsaigh would do his duty without mercy.

A few moments later Vandal sat back down and continued to toy with the new blade.

Cyc knelt next to the young man as Nate caught up with him. He examined the bomb that had rolled out of the bag. Seeing that it was not set to explode, he instructed guards to carry it away to a secure location. He rolled the young man over and brushed the hair off the warrior's face.

"Bjorn...." Cyc thought it was he, but was concentrating on the sword when the young man was standing. He collected the sword and called two more guards to come, "Take this man to the infirmary, keep him under guard.' He examined the sword and looked at Nate, "Unreal. Let's go back inside.'

Nate nodded and both men returned to the GG's office. The scribe was waiting nervously in the hall. Cyc signaled that he should follow. When they were behind closed doors, Cyc gave the scribe the letter. "Give me your first impressions of this note."

The scribe read the letter, examined the paper it was written on, then returned it to his former King. "It appears to be written in the same handwriting I've seen on numerous reports. To be more specific, old reports from the sheriff's operations. It appears to be written in haste, but most of the characters are the same. Am I to remember what I just read?"

Cyc smiled. "You're a good man, John. No, you are not. You've never read this."

The scribe nodded at both men and exited. Cyc looked at Nate, who had been looking at his cabinet of weapons. He had chosen a pearl-handled pistol, which he put in his briefcase as the scribe left.

"Looks like we both might have someone on the inside...." Cyc mused.

Cyc sat at his desk, starring at the desk before him, trying to find a conection, but then heard a scream, and he dashed to the Infirmery. He ripped into the room, finding The Young man with his blade out, and It pointing at one of the Healers.

    "
Systa var it neu da!?!"His toung was interpeertable, and the healer just began to sob, in wait for what was to come. Cyc began to pull out a pistol, only to have the Young man throw the blade at cyc, causing the pistlo to fall from his hands. And with super-human speed, and had the Pistol at Cyc's head within moments.

    "Cyc?" The Man said.
    "Yes."
    The Young man handed him a letter, and was off. Cyc opened the letter;

    Dear Cyc,

Know doubt you have met my Protege, Enrico Danaldo. My reasoning for this letter, is that, I belive we have a common goal, the Destruction of the Aretean Black Market. I currently have removed Three Major Establishments of the Black Market, and I would like your asstance. Send your message to Venice, and it will be transported from there.

Odas' Scouts had been following Vandals new Commander and his forces for three days. Sappire had to leave Arete and join with the few remaining Agents still alive for an important mission. They were spying on the Republic Army, getting close enough to hear their words and read their maps. They discovered the target was Madrid. Two entire Federation Armies were on their way including new Infantry divisions. It was a bloodbath, as the Republic Army approached the city of Madrid they were ambushed from two sides. Caught in the crossfire with no place to go. Somehow the Commander was able to escape, no doubt he was trained by Vandal himself....

General Civius was back in the Capital briefing the Governor General on all that had transpired. Then the two put their heads together to come up with a plan to stop Vandal Warlord once and for all. The mystery of the Black Market was unfolding by the minute and all roads led to Edorai............

The night of the meeting, Cyc had agreed to accompany Nate on his journey to Cordoba. After the bombing and the brief dialogue with the mysterious stranger, both Cyc and Nate spent the next few nights in the barracks of the building, and the days planning Strategic movements of troops due to the recent attacks in Ibisinia, which was reported by a go-between on the day after the bombing.

When General Civius arrived, problems arose.

Nate was anxious to get to Cordoba; he knew that the writer had not planned on meeting with him in the first few days, but enough was enough, Nate wanted information on the black market, and he wanted it now.

The letter from Vandal to Cyc, and Civius's encounters in Kassite were both major priorities, but it seemed to Nate that their real problems were in the West Coast, specifically in Cordoba and Kassite.

This made Nate all the more confused when General Civius had announced Edori just hours ago.

Now, Nate, Cyc, and General Civius sat in the Great Conference Hall. Light from the great Windows shown into the room, shining onto the opposing wall, lighting up another giant map of the world. In the middle there was a large wooden table, Cyc and Nate sat on one side, directly facing General Civius.

General Civius was doing a "worst case scenario" on a large military escort to Edori by moving model clay soldiers on top a wooden map layed out on the table. "The movement of any riflemen out of Arete would be potentially morale lessening if the citizens were to find out, as I see it, we have only two options for movement: We are completely discrete, or we travel with a small group of elite soldiers."
Nate was continuously edgy, he wanted to be on the West Coast, not only for his lead, but for the sake of being where the action was. He glanced over at Cyc, who was busy writing a letter to Vandal, which was to be sent to Venice.
Nate finally spoke, "General Civius, upon reaching Edori, we will have the finest troops available for protection or a possible raid on the Black Market. I don't see why we should risk a full legion of troops if they are to be met with the same resistance that you were met with at Kassite days ago. "

General Civius nodded, "I agree, but what are we to do, a group consisting of all of us can't travel without any protection, it would be a suicide mission."

"I could supply you both with weapons, and we could take a few elite guards and my private advisor, who is quite the marksman."

"Nate, me AND you were attacked by bombs, you in the privacy of the Capitol of Arete. As discrete as we may be, it is still very unsafe to have such a small group consisting of such powerful men."
Nate grinned, Cyc continued to work.

"What if I start to give orders to move a battalion of troops out to the docks now, group by group they would assemble a distance outside the city, and by sundown we could leave with the troops." Said Nate.

"This could work, but you would have to make the call within the next hour, it is getting late."

Cyc looked up, "General Civius, how will we be able to get to Cordoba from Edori. We have both informed you since your arrival that we already had plans to leave for the area."

"The dealings in Edori will be sort, sir. If we make any bust, the elite troops could have an entire flat under control within a matter of minutes, from there on, you would be free to leave."

Cyc nodded, and rose to begin walking to the door. He opened the door slightly and spoke to the guard outside. He finished and returned his attention to the two others, "Let us leave to the Governor General's office, the Field General of Arete Proper will meet us there shortly, we can direct him to make the troop movements there, and also negotiate transportation to the assembly point."

Nate and General Civius arose and followed Cyc out of the room, down a long hall.

After reaching the office, Nate unlocked the door. The men walked into a room piled with papers used over the course of the last few days. A few rifles and pistols lay on the desk.

General Civius was the last in, "Its gonna be great to get outta here..."

The Propher looked into the face of the man. He did not know who this was, but Sapphire had taken him to this man to deliver what info he had on the Cult.
With a nerveous voice he started:

"The Cult of the Firevulture consist of around three dozen 'fanatics', the inner circle, led by some sort of prophet. Their bases of operations exists in Babylon, New Giruvegan and Arete. The adresses are here..."
The Prophet quckly scribbled the adresses he knew so well down on the paper in front of him.

New Giruvegan: Martyrs Lane 81, basement.
Babylon: Bowyer Street 11, entire building.
Arete: Royal Boulevard 61, 2nd floor.

I must warn you that they are probably armed and dangerous. Remember that they are fanatics and stop at nothing. I have some sparse info on the leader of the cult as well..."

The Prophet stopped to catch his breath, the old man nodded at him.

"My father, Diamondeye, had a clear idea that the leader was one of two men; Ishida Seragawa or Yao Terada. Since Ishida was found dead some days ago, we can only assume that the leader is Yao, whether he took the leadership from Ishida by force or protected his own position by eliminating Ishida. That is all I know."

The old man nodded at him and thanked him. The Prophet exited the palace and begun wandering towards the harbor...

Vandal sat at his desk with great content, Mari had been swiftly occupied. And Enrico had destroied two more Black Market Establishments, his plans were turning out wonderfully. All save the Attack of the Holy City. Vandal frowned at the thought. The customs of the Gallow state that if you loose all of your forces at a Battle, you must exile yourself for Seven Years, in the Desert, and Ionsaigh had done just that. Vandal cracked his neck and stood. He took off his formal robes, and began putting on his more comfortable clothes, a black chainmail, with studded leggings, along with seven Blade shethes, placed all over his body. Vandal walked oputside of his room, and ouyt of the Building, with the Black Guard, safely in tow.

Outside of the building were, the main riflemen of his army. He dissmissed them with easy, after a quick inspection. Then Vandal's personal forces came into veiw. They were armed with a simple longbow, and they bowed before Vandal. These were Vandal's Elite Marksmen, trained by Vandal himself. Vandal too inspected them quickly, and dismissed them. Feeling content, Vandal turned to his black Guard.

After a few moments, a crate was brought up and opened, inside were the Rifles, of Aretean Infantrymen. Vandal Handed the Black guard these weapons and Spoke,

"The Greatest Battle in Aretean History will be fought at the City of Edorai. We move at Dawn."

General Civius yelled at the top of his longues to the Governor General, "They plan to take Edorai and with it the weapons and elite soldiers to destroy the Federation. The Black Market is funded by the Provozuki Corporation and the MAD. Tha Black Market is Edorais first line of defense and that is why Vandal has incapacitated the Organization by taking out all their headqaurters. The massive battles in the west were but a deversion, the real target is Edorai, it always was........"

"I understand, Lord Civius. This is all moving a little too quickly. Obviously, you have new information that Nate and I have not been breifed on. But please, have a seat. We need to plan this out rationally." said Cyc pulling a few maps he had taken from his old digs upstairs. Lord Civius threw up his hands and took a seat. Nate was already seated and motioned with his hand that Cyc should continue.

"We've got to remember who we're deaing with. Vandal has slipped off into the deep end. He's grasping for straws. We on the other hand are the leaders of the free world. The strongest nation, the most advanced. If we pull our forces together, in concert, we should be able to snuff Vandal and the Black Market out completely."

The door opened and the Field General entered. Maps and reports in hand. "Welcome General," Cyc responded quickly, offering the General a chair. "Glad you could make it."

    "Gentlemen, please. Hear my plan."

The General briefed the men on his plans to move a battalion of Riflemen to the Northern sector of Arete, from there, the three men would continue to Edorai.

General Civius did not seem pleased with the troop number. Nate addressed him, "I understand your want for full protection, General, but how am I supposed to move an entire legion of troops out of Arete on a whim? Provozuki Company has recently been taken by the State, and MAD has since dissolved. Would the already dug in and elitist troops in Edorai not be enough to stand against a Separatist threat?"

    The Field Governor looked confused.

General Civius sighed, "please, let me explain myself..."

Vandal sliced through the dummy with great ease. Sweat ran down his face, and he scowled with great intensity. Vandal made a dash to the next dummy, and cut its head clean off its body. Then in a split-seccond, he was moving to the next Dummy, this one mad of Clay. The arms were muitlated, as Vandal made a short jump. He landed a few feet away, and waited for a few moments. Then the rest of the clay dummy exploaded, sending shatters every where. In an abrupt turn Vandal blocked all incoming shrapnel.

Then Vandal pulled out a seccond blade, and mutilated several more dummy's of Hay and clay. Vandal was training himself to the point of collapse. He was preparing for the greatest, or Worst, Military Accomplishment of His life. Even if he lost, the Battle, he would never surrender his Republic.

From across the room, A member of the Black Guard entered. He bowed, and spoke,

    "Thrysta, von jana Edorai?"
    "Voi, on the double"

"Enough. Excuse me, Gentlemen. I understand your concerns, but we need to look at the big picture.

"It will take Vandal days to get his forces from Kassite to Edorai. We are closer and stronger. If what you say is correct, LC, Vandal will move East staying in the flat lands for better mobility. Once across the grasslands, he will have to go into the mountains or cross the river, here. I believe he'll cross the river. This is where we'll meet him."

"Nate, I understand your concerns about a major force leaving the city, but this is called for. We need you, General to order full gear manuevers,... a force march to the North. As many men as we can muster by later today. We'l also need to communicate to the Field commanders in Venice, NG, Blastoid, and Vandal Valley. Leaving only a skeleton crew in Venice, remove troops to the hills NW of the City. I'll explain why in a moment. The other three city are to also muster large forces, leaving only enough military to keep peace and order. These forces are to move into the mountains North of Edorai."
Cyc pointed to the freshly made arrows on the map. "We must eliminate all possibility of escape to the North."

Cyc threw his marker on the map and looked at the three men. "Edorai is a major city of the Aretan nation. It is largely populated and holds thousands of years of culture. We must not bring the fighting inside the city. Stopping Vandal here at the river suits this purpose. He, according to reports has sent a force to Mari, making him weaker. At the hands of LC here, he suffered a humiliating loss in Madrid. We have the advantage. But there's one thing you haven't looked at yet. That's the man who escaped from the infirmary earlier. Enrico is probably headed for Venice. Home of the Hounds. I'm sure LC is aware of how devistating it is being flanked by suprise. I believe that is exactly what Enrico will be doing. By placing troops in the hills NW of Venice, we should be able to stop the attack. The troops returning from Madrid should head North to the river and split. Half going to Kassite and take control of the emptied city - if Vandal leaves anything behind, he will have nothing to fight with. The other half should travel upriver, ready to redeploy to Arete."

"Lord Civius and the General will go North with the troops. Nate, if you wish, can journey to Cordoba to meet with your contact. I will remain here in the Capital to ressure the public and maintain control. Once Vandal has been vanquished, The Army should occupy Edorai and end the Black Market. We must put an end to this terror."

This is all getting a little too strange. I hadn't realized we developed teleporting yet. People can not just cross a continent at a moment's notice. Whatever. [/ooc]

It is time for the Great Battle of Edorai, with the Fall of the Republic of Kassite, and the Birth of the Kingdom of Gallow.

Vandal looked across the Field of Battle. Edorai was atop a hill some distance awy, but Vandal descided to wait for them to Attack. He heard his men whisper about how large the Aretean Army was, so Vandal seized the moment. He stood before his men , with his blades in hand.

"Men. This will be the Greatest Battle in the History of Arete, we will fight endless amounts of Aretean Warriors!" He Paused, " But they lack one Important thing! Heart. They have nothing to fight for, nothing to die for. But now you do, you families, your home, and your nation! You are the first to Witness the Birth of a Great new nation.

"I hearby abolish the Republic of Kassite, and give Birth to the Kingdom of Gallow!" Vandal took a knee before his men, as they followed. "I swear to you, that even if we loose this Battle," Vandal looked up, "We will fight on, to win our Independence!!! Who is with ME!?!?!" Vandal screamed, followed by a mix of War cries, and grunts agreement.
