To so everyone knows, the turn clock will be altered for the holidays. Right now the clock gets advanced 24 hours for each team, each turn. The quicker a team sends their played turn save on to the next team, the more hours they get to collect in the time account - up to 96 hours. So if you've saved up to 96 hours in your clock, when the save is passed onto you, it's not possible to add anymore hours. Let's say it took you 26 hours to play the turn and send it on to the next team in the turn order. You would now have 46 hours in your account. Next turn, an additional 24 hours would be added to your account, giving you 70 hours. Let's say you sent the save on in 12 hours this time. You now have 58 hours in your account. The next turn 24 hours would be added to your account, to a maximum of 96 hours.

This is how the clock works now. Every turn each team gets an additional 24 hours added to their clock (the alocated time allowed to play the turn). But each team can bank their unused time in the team account to use at some time when more time is needed to make a decision, or have a quick poll, etc.

But there will be a holiday schedule coming up ~

From 12/24/10 through 01/03/11 the save will still be passed from team to team in turn order, but the clock will be stopped during those days. This may or may not cause a slow down in the game progression. That remains to be seen. As they clock will be stopped during those days, there will be no time pressure for a team to advance the save, it will be done at each teams convenience.

Just wanted to bring the Eagle team up to speed on the changes for the holidays.

EDIT: Edited to reflect the 96 hour max on saved account hours. :dunno:

Don't worry about that. We appear to be Immortals! :D

I won't be able to play the next turn before Sunday evening. It would not hurt us, as our turn clock is full.

But if you someone feels like playing the turn, go ahead.

Sure I can take it. What plans did you have in mind?

Look at my latest spreadsheet (post #180 in turn planning thread):

1. warrior should move west onto the hills
2. Aerie will grow
3. make sure that the lux slider is adjusted correctly after growth and tile allocation (we don't want riots).
4. Aerie should work wheat, BG, FP for +5fpt

Ok, thanks. I did find your spreadsheet yesterday after posting above.
