The "I Got A New Game!" Thread

The voice acting in the English version of CoP is horrible

I pre-ordered Bioshock 2 and now it's downloading

I think games are much too highly rated when 75% is considered an 'average score' and a game that simply offers no entertainment value is widely evaluated being as 60%+.

I agree entirely with this. An "average" game - one that's perfectly playable but does nothing special - should get 50%.

I haven't got a new game in a while, but after playing Ratchet Deadlocked at a friends, I think that that's the new game that I'll get in due time.

Agreed, and we just missed the date when they should have made the switch!

January 1st, 2010 would have been the perfect day to switch, you can keep every review before than just categorize it as "Pre-2010", and all games would use a new improved scoring formula.

Traded in Madden 10 (gameplay is so broken it makes me want to weep), bought Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions for the PSP. I can't actually play it until I borrow my friend's PSP, since I don't plan on buying one any time soon.

bought Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions

 I have that game for the playstation ONE. It doesn't actually have War of the Lions in the title, but that's what it's about.

Yea, so do I, but I knew one day it would stop working. This is my insurance policy!

HOMM 5! :D but I can't figure out how to give my knights spells.

edit - never mind, figured out how to in this next mission. I guess the whole first campaign is a sort of tutorial :P

STALKER: Call of Pripyat is awesome. It continues the feel of the STALKER games but with a few improvements, and I have not had any bugs at all! (The initial releases of the 1st two games were buggy until patched). Only thing that annoys me is the merchant will only buy guns in excellent condition, even just a couple of bars of wear and tear means he won't buy them. But I still get a lot of money anyways, and I don't need to use as many healing items either (maybe I need to increase the difficulty).

bah, in Chernobyl there wasn't even a point in selling anything except to lose weight.

And you got all your guns and most or all of your ammo from dead bodies :p

Armor?

You mean your vests?

Nah, found plenty of those too, in stashes

You can repair armor in Shadow of Chernobyl. Equip a few Battery artifacts to raise your resistance above 100% and go sit in an anomaly

That is the strangest way to repair armour I have ever heard of. I never found 3 batteries though :/ (I think i sold some of them before I found out about it).

Holy cow, this was on page 2.

I just found Cossacks II! :D

Cossacks II is pretty decent, I've always liked GSC's games all the way back to the original Cossacks.

It's so hard though :(:(

I tried to do a skirmish and I just captured my first village when the enemy showed up with a formation of muskets at the same village. I drove them off, but then they showed up at mainbase with 2 musketmen and 1 cavalry formation!

I had just gotten my 2nd musketman formation produced, so I go over to fight them and I am out of gunpowder... :wallbash:

My question is, why did they rush my mainbase so fast instead of capturing the villages?!

Above vid is soo ********... and I must admit I absolutely love it 8)

and... I got assassins creed 2!!! (always online-drm sucks but I will actually support it IF it manages to stay uncracked... hehe, dreaming isn't bad right?)
