The Iroquois story

In this story we will see the rise of the Iroquois civilization. The settings are standard pangaea with emperor difficulty level and standard speed.

In this game i will try to rush mohawks and conquer one civ early. After that i try to inmprove my cities and maybe continue warmongering.

Our story begins here:

Onondaga is founded. It becames the Iroquois capital. Can it became a great city? Only time will tell. The city starts to train scouts.

Warriors discover pots from a ruin. Those pots reveal the secrets of pottery to the Iroquois. They also found a lonely peak. They name that mountain as "Mt. Sinai". Warriors also find some cultural artefacts from an ancient city.

The year 3800 BC is a big year for Iroquois. They decide to adopt liberty and a scout leaves Onondaga.

Scout founds 2 new empires: Japan and the Inca. Oda seems a bit hostile towards Hiawatha. Scout also finds Bows from a ruin. After some tests, they decide to pick up these powerful new weapons. Meanwhile, scientist in onondaga decide to adopt a writing system, the first in the world. Hiawatha buys an embassy from Pachacuti and realizes that the Incans are very far from onondaga.

Scout archer also founds Egypt and turns back to home. Also, a republic is founded. Hiawatha becames the president, of course. Meanwhile Onondaga has finished a monument and a shrine. It now starts the Great library.

In the year 3000 BC, the citizens of Onondaga start worshipping a pantheon. It includes lots of gods and goddeses, but the most important god is the Thunderbird, a messenger of the gods. Hiawatha also trades embassies with Ramesses.

Those X marks are locations for future cities. Also some parts have been named. In that year Hiawatha founds a Collective rule. Scientist also discover how to make bronze, leading to the birth of advanced weapons.

Osinika, the second city is built next to the bloody mountain. The mountain got it's name from the bloody battles of osinika, between the areas native barbarian tribes and the Iroquois warriors. Also the scouts tested their new weapons (bow and arrow) in those battles. Later on that year Pachacuti asked a decleration of friendship. Hiawatha wanted allies and agreed. They also saw mayan scouts.

The year 2400 BC dawns and the Great library in Onondaga is finally done. The scientist of that library discover the secrets of iron working. Onondaga starts recruiting famous mohawks from the woodlands. Later on that year, the scientist create a calendar.

Osinika finishes a scout who starts scouting the northern areas. The initial warriors upgrade their weapons and become the first mohawk warrior.

The city-state of budapest was having troubles with a barbarian encampment. Hiawatha decided to send his archers and mohawks to help budapest. After short battles, the war is over. Archers recieve a title "rangers" because of their superior knowledge of terrain and archery skills.

The impact of the great library is huge. Sciences flourish in onondaga and the wise men and women invent two new technologies: masonry to build inpassable walls and archery to defend cities. A mohawk is recruited in onondaga and a great monument is ready in Osinika. The scout also finds a great new natural wonder: The Grand Mesa.

Citizenship is developed in the Iroquois empire. This leads to the birth of the firs worker. Budapest thanks The Iroquois by giving them some warriors. They quickly become mohawks. Scientists discover the secters of the wheel, which gives workers the ability to construct roads.

The Iroquois empire needs more workers. That's why they have to enslave a worker from budapest. This action ruins the relationship. Osinika finishes a shrine. Scouts do good job. They find the danish empire, and soon they trade embassies with them.

The pangaea has been very peaceful, but now the things are about to get spicy. Pachacuti declares war on Ramesses, and a Japanese army led by a great general is spotted between Kyoto and Onondaga.

But the Iroquois are well prepared. More mohawks heve been recruited and Rangers have finally abandoned the old bows found from the ruins. Those bows are stored in the national museum of Onondaga. They have new composite bows.

The war between Incans and Egyptians is short. The empires remain in status quo. Scouts also discovers Siamise units. Soon embassies are swapped. But Oda wasts no time: he declares war to Hiawatha, starting the first Japanese war. The japanese army devides: Catapults lead by Great general march north towards Osinika and a small number of units try to hold lines right next to Onondaga.

Inca denounces Egypt. Because Hiawatha is friends with Pachacuti, Ramesses starts to guard his borders for Iroquois units. A small group of scouts arrive to Bloody mountain. After a long discussion in the city hall of Osinika these travellers are identified as Babylonians. They found an embassy to Onondaga, and an Iroquois embassy also found in Babylon. Meanwhile the japanese are destroyed on the shores of the River Onondaga. Rangers found their new bows even deadlier than the first ones. 3 groups of mohawks head to protect the city of Osinika.

It doesn't take long for the mohawks to destroy the Japanese catapults. Oda wants to make peace, but Hiawatha refuses. Rangers are now super effective on open air (bombard 2 promo). Even in wartime, new technologies are researched. This time the Iroquois learn philosophy. Also meritocracy is picked.

Capital starts building the national college. It will increase the iroquois sciece even more. Rumours tell about new religions: Inca has founded cristianity and Siam buddhism. The incan army which now consists of 4 groups of mohawks, rangers and 3 other composite bowmen legions starts besieging Kyoto.

On the other side of the supercontinent, Babylon denounces Siam. Scientist discover mathematics, increasing the kowledge of the Iroquois people. The siege of Kyoto continues leading to the birth of the first great general. He shares his knowledge with Lhasa, making them friends with Hiawatha. Scouts find the mighty Barringer Crater. Finally Kyoto falls.
