Well, our Arrow Forest has some of the best timber in the entire ocean! Also, Left Leg Lake, the only still freshwater body on the planet, has a diverse and interesting biology that can't be found anywhere else.
Power plants and such like are best built near the vents themselves, I'm afraid. We could sell you the power though.

And an small island group rises out of the sea! The Butwani islands are very small and have few people on them (as of attempts by outsiders to measure the population, the population rests at around 900 people). The capital "city" for lack of a better term, holds 500 of that population. The remaining 400 or so people live in small fishing communities on the rest of the islands. Due to almost total ignoring by colonial powers, these islands speak a language unlike any other in the world, bearing only a passing resemblance to ancient Vietnamese dialects. The strange religion of the people seems to believe that the largest island in the chain, known as "Mehre" is the chief deity of the people, having fallen from his throne in the skies after being usurped by the King of Darkness. Contact with outsiders has increased greatly, and the islands are now a popular tourist destination, though Mehre is completely off-limits by the islanders, under pain of death.

Breaking News! A Woman drinking out of the Left Lake Lake, the only lake on the enitre planet (Sadly), has become a virgin pregnat. Tests have comfirmed that she has not had sex her entire life. The Republic has put a temporary quaritine around the lake until it can be explained.
