The most Beautiful Language?

Well I don't know either about french since it's my native language, but the two you suggested are very rude ones (I wont say that russian is like "farting in water" but I thought that was very funny) despite the great literature they've developed.
However, I'd give a chance to Portuguese, it sounds so sweet in music.
About other latin languages, as a french :

Spanish sounds good, and it's quite understandable for us (without having studied the language). I had an appointment with a spanish partner in Paris a year ago, he spent the entire lunch speaking to me in spanish without even asking me if I understood it -As if this is the common natural universal language that everybody understands by nature. When you're in Madrid, ask for your way in english, they will inevitably respond in spanish :mischief:, that's not the case in Paris (they respond in french / joke > In english of course). Though, I don't like the spanish "sss", "n" (etc...) too much.
Italian is not as easy to understand. It's indeed one of the most beautiful though italians practice it too loud.
Romanian sounds good too.

I just thought that, and really I don't know why, but I like the sound of any language when the spech is continuous.
I like British English for its character, French for a combination of sounds and its softness, Italian is just beautiful, any Slavic langage is like a fairytale to me, German, Dutch and Scandinavian languages are "heavy", but "strong" and in some way also beautiful. Just for prononciation I would pick:
Italian, any Slavic, German, Scottish, French and English, Spanish....

The language of love.:p
Also, english, because i only know 2. english and german. no-one can call german beautiful.:)

Latin is beautiful when used in Roman Catholic mass.

I would say French would be mine, closely followed by any Romance class language. I also like the African language where they talk by clicks.

Sorry dude, but which African language do you mean? Of the millions out there...

Of all languages I like Japanese and French, but Swedish is the most lyrical in speech.
Personally I think Portuguese has some likenesses in pronunciation to Russian, tho that is a very superficial observation.

Irish is my favourite, with classical Greek and Anglo-Saxon tying at a close second. Honourable mentions include French, Italian, Spanish, German, and Urdu. I've never heard Sanskrit spoken, but I'm sure if I did it would be up there as well.

In song, German and Irish top my list.

I agree. Even some Germans recognize this.

The only beautiful word in German is schon (with an umlaut) :)

Frnech sounds very cool. I don't like how Spanish sounds, as it has too many syllables and vowels.

French is definitely one of the better ones. I enjoy simply listening to french people speak without even knowing what they are talking about.

I can.
However the most beautiful language I know is Romanian.

I can't say it's the most beautiful, but it's close! (noting its similarity to Italian).

I like Russian and German marching songs, but the most beautiful language is the King's English spoken by an Indian or Jamacian. It seems to roll off the tongue.
