Onomatopoeia, it just has a ring to it

Onomatopoeia, is a beautiful word, but it is sphincter that as a ring to it.

Facetious is a beautiful word, containing all five vowels in the right order.

Why cellar door?
And my 3 favourites would be:
  • Purple. go on, say it outloud. Its just a cool word.
  • boobies.
  • fluff. Another of those words if you say it outloud it jsut sounds nice.

For the same reasons:

Yes, alot of naughty stuff sounds good out loud. Well it would seem wrong to give it a boring name wouldnt it? :p

Abstemious sounds better than facetious and has the same distinction :p

However, "ricochet" is my favorite English word. (It's too bad it's really French. Then again, everything in English is either German, French or Latin.)

I'm not being facetious, but abstemious is a frightening word.

 Agreed.

Those wondering about the prevalence of the 'cellar door' comments - it's suggested in the movie 'Donnie Darko', at the very least. (Some of) the cites likely derive from there.
