Do you mean the WC? As in the world cup? That would make more sense than WK but maybe it stands for something else...If it is the world cup then its a shame but it would have been a shame if Ireland or Portugal had not qualified...Also why is this in the humour section?

Hey, we brought it on ourselves. The Dutch team is so extremely arrogant. They just didn't do their best; far from it. But of course I find it very sad. Whatever the team consists of, the Netherlands are the Netherlands. And I wanna win. Not this time.

who remembers the legendary 5-5 from belgium vs holland?
that was the best match ever for me.
belgium was a little country easy to defeat for the dutch team.
but we did a draw.5-5 almost unbelievable.
but now they may stay home and watch the belgians go to japan.
we will win vs japan.
we will win vs russia.
we will win the first round and then the match vs brazil.......

The Dutch don't deserve to go. The Irish and Portugese were so much better than them in the qualifing stage. Personally I think that the Dutch are way too over-rated (not as much as England but still over-rated).

There are quite a lot good Dutch players the only problem is that they don't want to play as a team. They are just too concerned about themselves and just forget that they should just be a part of a team. It's sad but I won't sleep less over it, in fact it will give me so much more time this summer. I won't watch too much as Holland isn't playing and the times when there will be played will probably be quite inconvenient for European people.

I recommend the book "Brilliant Orange" by D (or B?) Winner. It's an eclectic book about football in Holland - why the dutch play such beautiful football, have such talented players, but can't win. Really good read, even if you aren't a fan of Oranje!
I don't know if Ireland deserved too many kudos, but they qualified. Tip o' hat to them. Portugal is impressive, and they get an easy bracket to start! Semifinals, anyone?
As a former resident of the Netherlands, I was dismayed by Oranje's weak qualifying efforts. Shameful laziness and poor execution... They didn't qualify, and have only themselves to blame. Too bad, tho, now my orange jersey will collect dust for at least two more years. (Until their inevitable embarrassing flop in Euro 2004
