Ok, fellow civers and ex-civers, this is the thread to use to everything related to the Euro 2004 until the day the competition starts and we all become mad and turn the forum upside down for a month. :)

In Sunday the draw will take place and we'll know the groups. What clashes do you want to see coming out from it. I say, gimme Latvia!

Please give Latvia an easy group - they deserved that :)

I'm now an official Latvia supporter (now to find out what go Latvia is in Russian/Latvian)

They gave us Latvia and we are out.:) As I said before it is always nice to see underdogs going through rounds.

Although it's impossible, I wouldn't mind playing Portugal in our group !!! :D

Seriously, I don't care ; give us any team you want. :)

See ya later. :nuke:

I wanna see a good old-fashioned Deutschland - Holland match.

I can exclusively reveal the following will be the draw this weekend:

France, England, Netherlands, Bulgaria: Group of death, designed to get English hooligans home as soon as possible

Portugal, Spain Russia Latvia: Designed to ensure Portugal, as the home country, get through

Sweden, Germany, Denmark, Greece Designed to get Germany through the first round

Czech Rep, Italy, Croatia, Switzerland: What’s left

I'd give the Netherlands a fair chance in Mega's group........ France might be tricky, but when was the last time England played a decent match ? I don't know much about Bulgaria, however Aleksander Hleb scares me.....

The groups for the fimal tournament were drawn minutes ago:

Group A:
Portugal
Greece
Spain
Russia

Group B:
France
England
Switzerland
Croatia

Group C:
Sweden
Bulgaria
Denmark
Italy

Group D:
Czech Republic
Latvia
Germany
Netherlands

So, it seems that last group is the toughest, and Latvia didn't have an easy draw, and Group C also has the potential for equilibrium.

Hmm its a shame France has to be our opening game as it will put alot more pressure on the team. Hopefully we can gain some sort of result against them and then if Switzerland's slight dip in form continues then we could win against them and then we should hopefully be able to win against Croatia...

The worst outcome possible. Two of the three best teams in Europe and the total underdog.

But at least the Holland game will be the first, it's probably the main classic of the whole first round.

As for the other groups, Italy and France got walkthrough groups and in group A Portugal and Spain should do it.

The other two traditional big games are probably France - England and Portugal - Spain.
