Don't particularly like late starts (1700's) but Babylonia was a must. Basically conquered all of "China" with the help of a spontaneous vassal named America. Then splurged on troops and conquered a whole bunch and built lots of late cities as I was about to win.
But this...well, that's a first. (The last corporation was founded the turn before I won, and no, I didn't use WB!)

Let's see, Assembly Line from Liberalism is rare, but you did it yourself. The great Wall is one of the weirdest I've seen (I'm guessing the mountain protects greece?). And the fact that Rome is still up at this period is crazy enough.

Oh and the Religous diversity of Europe is interesting, since you managed to maintain Christianity in the empire.

The Great Wall isn't that weird. I'm guessing that the two lines in the Balkans were made due to him controlling Spalatum and Constantinople, when Spalatum had expanded once and Constantinople didn't expand yet.

Another funny thing is that he got AL before rifling! That means no infantry yet I think.

The last few RAND games (the German one was fun) I routinely skip rifling (since I'm not gearing up for war), go for MS, chemistry (so I can defend with grenadiers), steam power and AL. Then all musketmen get turned into infantry when I steal rifling.

Liberalism could potentially get AL by 1250-1300 (at least in the old days when I use it for democracy). Note that his science could have been even better if he spread some Judaism around.

Got lucky and found Portugal with 2 warriors in their capital and they had Hinduism so captured it with the loss of a chariot. Then found Greece all the way to the bottom of my map and had only 2 warriors, and my chariot got lucky. Turkey and Netherlands spontaneously vassalized, and China also (I had captured their 2 cities first when they declared on me). I was going for a cultural win when I realized I can win domination easily by building 3 more cities. So when I got 3 sets of conquerors (1 set wasted in capturing an Incan city I can't hold), I conquered another Russian city (not OBing with the civ that got the conquerors flipped them back towards me). Finally got drama from my vassal Turkey and turned the culture dial up the last 2 turns.
I'm glad I won because my 3rd GA just ended and my stability was going down fast.:)

Hey, that's where France always founded Orleans in the 1000 AD scenario*.

*It was that very founding that drove me to look for something with accurate city name placement, and caused me to find RFC.

No. I never ever seen 'Nieuwer-Amstel'. That used to be a Dutch city, BTW.

    My comments:

    LOL! You can't found Washington.

    My explanation:

The English just founded New York one turn earlier than the Dutch could found Nieuw Amsterdam. The Dutch settler was moved south and they founded Nieuwer Amstel.

    My question:

Did you capture the city and keep it as a capital or did you raze it and founded Washington?
